    Creative Manager

    Main responsibilities:

    Creative Direction

    • Conceptualize, design and implement dynamic layouts and displays for carpet installations, homeware shelves, linen, bathroom, outdoor, lighting and kitchen areas. Focus on showcasing and highlighting new products in a visually engaging manner.
    • Conceptualize all homeware installations and oversee costing, production and installation of designs within the store.
    • Signage for installations to be implemented simultaneously.
    • Provide input and insights on shop fittings and new store concepts, utilizing research and data.
    • Strong technical ability is required, as Sketchup models of installations will need to be prepared and presented for sign off.
    • Work closely with Project Manager to ensure that allocated budget is updated and adhered to.

    Workshops HW categories

    • Facilitate workshops with an in-store VMs to refine installation concepts, ensuring alignment with overall brand vision and brief.

    Communication

    • Send out communication to in-stores VMs and RMs for rollout of HW installations.
    • Provide monthly feedback on homeware integration of all stores by means of video conferencing/photos/in-store visits etc. to ensure alignment across all stores.
    • Responsible for managing and compiling of the Homeware Lookbook and guidelines annually.

    Processes and workflows

    • Ensure efficient processes are developed and in line with business strategies and objectives.
    • Work closely with HW planners and buyers on HW capacity planning at store level. This would include input into pack-out and HW product allocations.

     Technical experience:

    • An Interior Décor or Design Diploma/ Retail/ fashion/ Design
    • Minimum 5 years work experience in the décor, fashion or retail industry.
    • Excellent technical knowledge of design software e.g., Sketchup
    • Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport. Travel on a national basis

    Personal skills and attributes: 

    • Passion for retail and consumer, with the ability to conceptualize installations, integrate homeware in line with our brand.
    • The ability to interpret briefs and demonstrate creativity in generating creative concepts, as well communicating directives to in-store VM’s to ensure correct role out.
    • Strong creative problem-solving skills and proven ability to show initiative. The position requires great attention to detail and conceptual and creative ability.
    • Good knowledge of company and merchandising policies and procedures in retail environment
    • Strong administrative skills, excellent product knowledge and passion for Weylandts products.
    • Self-starter & team player
