Information Technology Risk Manager

South African based financial services group listed on the Johannesburg Stock is on a hunt for a seasoned IT Risk Manager who will add value a lead the team into new heights. Risk Manager will be responsible for supporting the Executive Risk Management of the group including 5 short and long-term insurance licenses under its management control and exposure to international insurance licenses in the Group.

Duties:

• Ensure the enterprise risk management framework is effectively implemented within the business.
• Review and maintain risk management policies, frameworks, taxonomies etc.
• Perform risk assessments working with the various risk owners to ensure that the risk registers are up to date
• Work with various risk owners to define, monitor and report on key risk indicators
• Support management with the identification, monitoring and reporting of risk events
• Review of existing and/or development of new risk reports to ensure that they are suitable and useful to aid in decision making
• Supports the Executive: Risk Management in the preparation, submission and/or presentation of risk reports to the various governance forums within the business.
• Support the Executive Risk Management with implementation of the integrated assurance model
• Identifying current/actual and emerging risks through evaluating internal and external risk environment on a continuous basis
• Aggregating, monitoring and advising management on the effective management and mitigation of identified risks.
• Responsible for the management of risk officers and risk analysts in the team

Requirements:

• ERM Framework
• Solvency Assessment and Management
•  3 – 5 years (Risk Management, Financial Services, Short-term / Long-term insurance)
• 5 years implementation of risk management framework
• Understanding of risk management best practice
• Conducting of risk assessment
• Managing staff
