THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

• Managing opportunities identified for operations and continuous improvement (MECP, Packaging, Maintenance,  Operational Costs impacts etc)  , to secure Tiger brands’ future growth, profitability and competitiveness through category support and pursuit of operations best practices. Optimizing the utilization of resources in the operations area while balancing short/medium term with long term needs according to available resource profiles and company demands/priorities

Responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Provide operational support through Packaging excellence, MECP, Maintenance ,Operational Cost impact assessments through development of the knowledge base and benchmarks
• Influence and support increase in packaging operations effectiveness and capabilities
• Use skills to support the evaluation and development of new technology/processes/techniques within his/her area of specialization/accountability
• Continuously develop and support  the organizational expertise and technical capabilities for operational excellence in operations
• Conduct and/ lead performance optimization initiatives (line, plant and process capability studies) and provide complex problem-solving support to plants, as and when required
• Support MECP implementation, ensuring sustainable results through the rollout of the MECP methodology
• Leverage established networks within the organization and throughout supplier and industry communities to deliver on the packaging operations community needs
• Build up technical expertise and leverage and share acquired knowledge throughout the Packaging operations community
• Support the development and application of functional operational strategies for maintenance operations best practice

Qualifications
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Function – 10+ years experience in operational excellence (MECP, Packaging, Maintenance , Operational Cost impact measurement etc) within FMCG
• University Degree
• Commercially oriented education like MBA or other business degree would be an advantage
• Formal qualification in packaging technology and /or Engineering would be an advantage
• Computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, internet, …)
• Industry – Understanding of the different production and supply chain platforms within industry and their applicability to Tiger Brands operations
