    Repair Centre Technician

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Efficient delivery of Repair Centre technical processes.

    • Effectively use SAP - ERP system for spares consumption after modules and instruments are repaired/refurbished.

    • Consistently demonstrate compliance and adherence to company and department specific SOP’s.

    • Successfully achieve individual performance objectives in line with departmental goals and actively participate in initiatives to drive continuous improvement.

    • Maintain accurate spares inventory of spares in spares location and assist with cycle counts.

    • Perform the refurbishment/repair of GeneXpert modules. (Failure investigation up to and including calibration).

    • Perform the refurbishment of GeneXpert computers as per Cepheid SOP/work instructions.

    • Perform the refurbishment and conversion of GeneXpert instruments as per Cepheid SOP/work instructions.

     

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Education and Experience (in years): 

    • Degree/diploma in electronics or engineering OR equivalent experience with 2+ years’ experience in medical device repair center/workshop.

    • A+ Certification (computer software and hardware support) OR relevant experience.

    • Competency in the following computer applications and software: Windows 10, Windows 7, Hard Drive imaging software (eg. Ghost), MS Office, CRM, Salesforce, SAP (RMA, cycle counts, transfer of goods).

     

    Knowledge and skills:

    • High productivity and initiative.

    • Must have ability to troubleshoot problems and drive to root cause.

    • Attention to detail.

    • Ability to read and follow process procedures, work instructions, job standards and related information Effectively Prioritizes tasks and acts with urgency and agility as new information emerges.

    • Constantly identifies issues within the workplace for process improvement.

    • Good team player.

    • Understands the shared purpose and how daily tasks contribute to departmental goals.
