    Group Head of Marketing

    Skill Set

    Experience: 

    • Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role, preferably in a multi-brand or multi-business environment, and ideally within the online gambling or iGaming industry.
    • Proven track record of taking a hands-on approach to driving growth, customer acquisition, and engagement through strategic marketing initiatives in a fast-paced, competitive environment. 

    Leadership: 

    • Strong leadership skills with experience in building, managing, and mentoring high-performing teams across multiple regions and businesses. 
    • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and navigate complex organizational structures, create processes and improve efficiencies an ensure Teams operate together as a unit.

    Industry Knowledge: 

    • Deep understanding of the online gambling landscape, including key trends, customer acquisition strategies, and regulatory challenges in various markets. 

    Digital Expertise:

    • Extensive experience with digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, PPC, affiliate marketing, content marketing, social media) and analytics tools. • Analytical Skills: o Strong data analysis and reporting skills with a deep understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs), customer segmentation, and A/B testing. 

    Creative Thinking: 

    • Ability to generate innovative ideas and drive creative solutions that differentiate the brand in a competitive market. Be able to inspire creative thinking within your Teams and encourage fresh perspectives. 

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities: 

    Strategic Leadership: 

    • Provide strategic oversight for the development and execution of the group-wide marketing strategy, as well as individual strategies for each company within the group, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals.
    • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across product, operations, customer support, and other key functions to drive integrated marketing campaigns across both digital and traditional channels.
    • Ensure clear communication of the strategy and activation plans to all teams, and oversee the effective and efficient implementation of these initiatives across the organization.Set strategic priorities for the various Heads of Department ensuring their departmental goals align with broader business objectives. 

    Brand Development & Positioning: 

    • Define and refine brand positioning across multiple markets for each brand/company. Ensure consistency of brand messaging and tone across all platforms and channels, while tailoring strategies to local market nuances. Ensure our master brand remains the most recognized and loved online betting and gaming brand in South Africa and ensure ongoing growth of brand awareness in new and existing markets. 

    Customer Acquisition & Retention: 

    • Oversee marketing campaigns aimed at customer acquisition, retargeting, remarketing and retention. Optimize customer journeys, from awareness to conversion to long-term loyalty, using a combination of paid media, organic channels, affiliate marketing, traditional and partnerships. 

    Market Analysis & Insights: 

    • Lead market research and consumer insights initiatives to understand our industry, our products, our customers, customer behaviors, preferences, and the competitive landscapes. Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and improve campaign performance, ensuring we are constantly challenging our thinking and driving innovative thinking. Use data and insights to ensure we retain a competitive advantage. 

    Team Leadership & Development: 

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse, high-performing multi-disciplinary marketing team and foster collaboration across all marketing functions, ensuring a unified approach to achieving business growth. Create a high-performance culture, ensuring the team is motivated and well-equipped to be able to deliver exceptional results.

    360 Campaign Conceptualisation & Management: 

    • Have the ability to conceptualise and create 360 degree, through the line marketing campaigns that deliver tangible results driving brand awareness, customer acquisition and growth in share of voice, share of market and share of wallet. 

    Digital Marketing Excellence: 

    • Champion digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, content strategy, PPC, programmatic and mobile app marketing. Stay on top of emerging digital marketing trends, tools, and technologies to maintain a competitive edge. 

    Campaign Performance and ROI: 

    • Provide strategic oversight on the measurement of marketing effectiveness, ensuring KPIs and ROI are consistently tracked across all campaigns and initiatives. Guide department heads, in optimizing budgets, channels, and resources to enhance marketing spend efficiency and drive overall campaign performance in alignment with organizational goals. 

    Compliance & Responsible Gaming: 

    • Ensure all marketing practices are in line with legal and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. Lead efforts to promote responsible gaming practices within marketing materials and campaigns. 

    Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

    • Collaborate with foundation, operations, product, CRM, technology, and commercial leadership to align marketing strategies with overarching company objectives. Provide strategic oversight and drive the development of go-to-market plans for new product launches, ensuring market leadership and innovation.
    • Champion a culture of cross-functional collaboration to maximize business impact and elevate brand performance. 

    Stakeholder Reporting: 

    • Report on the overall Group Marketing as well as individual portfolios within the group progress and performance marketing initiatives.
    • Provide insights in relation to each individual portfolio as well as the overall group along with recommendations for optimization and growth elements to the executive leadership team. 

    Innovation & Trends: 

    • Stay at the forefront of industry trends, new marketing technologies, and emerging digital platforms.
    • Identify opportunities for innovation and integrate cutting-edge solutions to enhance marketing efforts

    Budget and Resource Management: 

    • Establish and oversee the consolidated annual marketing budget across multiple divisions or regions, ensuring resource allocation aligns with overarching business objectives.
    • Monitor and report on performance metrics and ROI across the organization to guide strategic adjustments and long-term planning. Review proposed budget strategies for various divisions as provided by the various departments ensuring alignment to the overall group Marketing Budget.

    • CRM, Customer Experience. (Preferred)
    • Senior or Executive leadership experience in marketing, with a proven track record of managing large, multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., brand marketing, digital marketing, insights, etc.) - 5 – 10 years
    • Experience in the betting, gaming, or technology sectors would be a distinct advantage. - (Preferrable)

    Head of Marketing

    Responsibilities

    Strategic Planning & Implementation

    • Spearhead the strategic and hands on development and implementation of marketing plans; working closely with the leadership Team, Marketing Managers, creative and content Teams, and other stakeholders to ensure these are aligned and delivered collaboratively.
    • Collaborate with the business to provide and interpret research and insights, using these to develop and implement innovative marketing and branding strategies that will grow brand awareness, enhance our brand reputation and drive customer retention and acquisition.

    • Floors are swept and mopped, scrubbed and/or vacuumed. Walls are cleaned. Refuse is gathered
    • and disposed of. Bins are to be emptied, washed or sanitized and replaced with refuse bags.
    • Toilets are to be cleaned
    • Tables and counters, chairs, TV screens, furniture, lights and machines and/or equipment is clean
    • and wiped prior to team members commencing work.
    • Ensures that service areas are neat and tidy during peak periods and quiet periods.
    • Appropriate use of cleaning chemicals and cleaning detergents.
    • Requests cleaning fluids and/or worn cleaning equipment e.g. mops/brooms/dusters from Branch
    • Manager as and when required.
    • Declares breakages to the Branch Manager
    • The cleaning of branch aircon filters weekly
    • Ensure that the all tables & chairs in the Gaming areas are maintained – seat covers are monitored,
