    Senior Digital UX/UI Designer

    Role Overview

    • We’re looking for a highly strategic and detail-oriented Senior Digital UI/UX Designer to craft seamless, compelling digital experiences that bring brands to life and drive measurable impact.
    • You’ll play a key role in bridging brand storytelling, marketing strategy, and user-centered design to create interfaces that not only look beautiful but convert and engage.
    • In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams — including developers, marketers, and strategists — to shape digital experiences across web, mobile, and ecommerce platforms.
    • Your background in branding, marketing, and advertising will be crucial in ensuring every design choice supports both business objectives and brand identity.
    • This is a full-time, on-site role at our Somerset West office (no hybrid or remote work).

    Key Responsibilities

    • UI & UX Design: Lead the creation of intuitive wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs for websites, ecommerce platforms, and digital campaigns.
    • Brand-Driven Design: Translate brand strategies and marketing goals into cohesive visual experiences that strengthen brand identity and connect with audiences.
    • Content Strategy & Storytelling: Structure and design content to support user journeys, enhance engagement, and reflect each client’s tone and voice.
    • Research & Insights: Use customer data, analytics, and behavioral insights to inform design decisions and optimize conversion and user experience.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, marketers, and account leads to ensure design aligns with strategic objectives and campaign goals.
    • Consistency & Quality: Maintain visual and brand consistency across all touchpoints, ensuring every detail aligns with client guidelines and business goals.
    • Usability & Accessibility: Apply best practices in accessibility and UX to build inclusive, high-performing experiences.
    • Client Communication: Confidently present and articulate design concepts, rationale, and user-centered approaches to clients and internal teams.

    Requirements

    • 8+ years of experience in digital design, specializing in UI/UX with a strong foundation in branding, marketing, and advertising.
    • Proven portfolio showcasing web, mobile, ecommerce, and campaign-driven design work.
    • Advanced proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
    • Strong understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and content hierarchy.
    • Experience working on ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WordPress, Webflow) and digital campaigns.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail and brand tone.
    • Ability to balance creative vision with marketing performance goals and business strategy.
    • Experience working with or within branding, marketing, and advertising agencies or departments.

    Bonus Points If You Have

    • Experience with CRO, A/B testing, or behavioral analytics.
    • Knowledge of HTML/CSS or ability to collaborate closely with front-end developers.
    • Background in motion graphics or animation (e.g., After Effects).
    • Experience conducting UX audits or providing heuristic evaluations.

    Senior Digital Copywriter

    ROLE DESCRIPTION:

    • This is a full-time, on-site role as a digital copywriter at WBWR, located in Somerset West.
    • As a Copywriter, you will create engaging and impactful marketing copy, write and edit content, develop new brand voices, and contribute to digital marketing initiatives.
    • Your day-to-day tasks may include crafting persuasive advertisements, creating compelling brand narratives, and optimising content for various marketing channels.

    RE SPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop high-quality, SEO-optimised content for e-commerce websites, including product descriptions, category pages, landing pages, and blog posts.
    • Create engaging and persuasive copy for digital marketing campaigns, including email newsletters, social media ads, and PPC campaigns, to drive traffic and conversions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketers, and developers, to ensure brand consistency and alignment with marketing objectives.
    • Conduct thorough research on industry trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape to inform content strategy and messaging.
    • Tailor content to target audience demographics, preferences, and pain points, utilising data-driven insights to optimise performance.
    • Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand voice and style guidelines.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in e-commerce marketing and copywriting, continuously refining skills and techniques.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field.
    • Proven experience (5 years) as a marketing copywriter within a digital marketing agency, focusing on e-commerce marketing on all channels.
    • Exceptional writing skills with a keen eye for detail and a mastery of grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
    • Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices for content optimisation.
    • Proficiency in crafting persuasive copy that drives action and conversion across various digital channels.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
    • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and a knack for understanding consumer behaviour.

    BENEFICIAL:

    • Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Salesforce) and familiarity with product listing optimisation.
    • Experience writing for paid media, organic social media and SEO.
