    IT Business Applications Manager

    QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 
    • 7-10 Years Experience in managerial level of similar role.
    • SAP Certification, ITIL Certification, Project Management Certified (e.g. PRINCE2)

    NECESSARY EXPERIENCE & INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE:

    • Proven experience 7-10 years in IT application management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
    • Strong technical knowledge of application lifecycle management, including application selection, implementation, maintenance, and retirement.
    • Experience in managing complex application landscapes, including ERP systems, laboratory information management systems (LIMS), and quality management systems (QMS).
    • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Demonstrated experience in leading application-related projects.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry, such as FDA regulations, GxP guidelines, and data privacy regulations.
    • Knowledge of generative AI, data analytics & science, RPA, IDP, process mining with proven track record of at least one such implementation. 
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • SAP experience, including SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.

    KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE: 

    • Application Portfolio Management: Manage the company's application portfolio, including the selection, implementation, maintenance, and retirement of applications. Align the application portfolio with business strategies and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
    • Application Support and Maintenance: Oversee the support and maintenance activities for applications, including incident management, problem resolution, and user support. Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure timely and effective issue resolution and service delivery.
    • Application Enhancement and Upgrades: Coordinate application enhancement initiatives and manage the application upgrade process. Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify requirements, prioritize enhancements, and ensure successful implementation and deployment.
    • Vendor and Contract Management: Manage relationships with application vendors and service providers. Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to negotiate contracts, ensure compliance with SLAs, and oversee the delivery of application-related services.
    • Business Process Analysis: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their processes and identify opportunities for application optimization and automation. Conduct business process analysis and recommend solutions to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance of applications with relevant regulatory requirements, such as FDA regulations, GxP guidelines, and data privacy regulations. Implement necessary controls and procedures to meet compliance standards.
    • Project Management: Lead application-related projects, including system implementations, integrations, and upgrades. Develop project plans, define milestones, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Change Management: Implement effective change management processes for application-related changes. Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the impact of changes, manage risks, communicate changes to end-users, and ensure smooth transitions.
    • Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the IT application team. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, promote professional development, and ensure effective utilization of resources.
    • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in IT applications. Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of applications.

    Lead: Sales Support

    QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

    • General Understanding of pharmaceuticals, experience, and work knowledge of marketing in pharmaceutical sales.
    • Good understanding of the primary health care systems and the extended program on immunisation (EPI).
    • Degree in Sales/Marketing and/or Administration and/or Customer relationship management/ Equivalent.
    • Recognition is given to Prior Learning and practical experience.

    NECESSARY EXPERIENCE & INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE:

    • Previous experience, minimum 3-4 years in sales, marketing, product management and product launches in a pharmaceutical environment preferably some in the vaccine market.
    • Customer relationship management.
    • Knowledge of the legislation surrounding the pharmaceutical industry, inclusive of pricing, marketing, and regulatory issues.
    • Knowledge and ability to interpret IMS market data, pricing data.

    KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE: 

    • Conduct market landscape and customer analysis, identify opportunities in private sector.
    • Formulate action plans to realize opportunities in line with Biovac’s plans.
    • Lead the product launch projects from early stages and drive the local launches.
    • Develop and build strong business relationships with Private key accounts.
    • Responsible for applying and maintaining SEP, Nappi codes, Medikredit listing, Wholesaler listings and other private sector. 
    • Customer segments mapping (size, patient pathway, reimbursement, stakeholders, value proposition, opportunity assessment.)
    • Training to customers on Product features/benefits, product utilization.
    • Accountable for all activities and deliverables related to establishing and maintaining Market Access, reimbursement, and strategic optimal pricing for Biovac products as well as private market sales and stakeholder management. 
    • Build Biovac’s presence in Private Sector. 
    • Report on competitor activity and pricing trends in order to remain competitive in the market.
    • Capture short and long-term business opportunities based on in-depth Market and Customer understanding.
    • Assist with monitoring opportunities in Exports markets and providing feedback.
    • Assist with compiling of Tenders & RFQ’s. 
    • Provide Sales Head with accurate and timely input into sales planning that will support business strategy and revenue targets.
    • To provide realistic plans and forecasts based on customer performance.
    • Attend relevant conferences.

    IT Administrator

    QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

    • Degree in computer technology or industry qualifications with minimum 2 years’ experience. 

    NECESSARY EXPERIENCE & INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE:

    • At least 2 years of experience in IT administration, support, or a related role.
    • Familiarity with IT systems management, incident and change management processes (e.g., ITIL framework).

    • SAP Payment Load:
    • Support the team with SAP payment load processes, ensuring accurate and timely input of financial data.
    • Monitor and address any discrepancies in SAP payment loads.
    • Quality System Documentation:
    • Review, update, and maintain IT-related quality system documentation (e.g., procedures, work instructions, and policies).
    • Ensure documentation aligns with internal standards and regulatory compliance.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that system processes meet quality standards.
    • IT Project Coordination:
    • Assist in coordinating IT projects, ensuring timely and effective execution.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to define project scope, milestones, and deliverables.
    • Track project progress and assist in troubleshooting project issues.
    • Incident Management:
    • Participate in the incident management process, logging, tracking, and resolving IT-related incidents in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with other IT teams to investigate, diagnose, and address issues promptly.
    • Change Management:
    • Assist in managing IT change requests and changes to infrastructure and systems.

    Risk and Compliance Officer

    • Setup and manage Governance frameworks/policies to align the business to governance requirements.
    • Develop appropriate policies to supplement and enforce the governance framework.
    • Develop and maintain a group risk management framework and strategy.
    • Develop and maintain an appropriate interface between risk management and business continuity management.
    • Maintenance & reporting on the site risk register as well as individual risk registers with the relevant risk owners.
    • Ensuring that significant risks are documented on risk registers, adequate mitigations are captured and monitoring of progress to mitigate risks.
    • Develop and maintain a compliance framework policies procedure and plans in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
    • Development of Anti-money laundering, Anti-bribery and FICA compliance mechanisms at the appropriate levels of the organisation
    • Developing robust internal due diligence protocols especially related to strategic companywide projects, as well as third party due diligence protocols as well as ensuring that there is appropriate ongoing oversight and control over such third party providers.
    • Ensure that internal controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance of compliance with established company regulatory requirements and that all external regulatory requirements are complied with.
    • Develop and maintain business templates for contractual arrangements with customers and suppliers (e.g., Service level agreements, non-disclosure agreements, etc)
    • Liaise with legal service providers and provide legal advice and opinions for contractual and related matters.
    • Conduct research, when necessary, compile required reports and papers and make legally sound recommendations regarding legal and compliance issues.
    • Respond to queries and any investigations from external and internal parties, ascertain where external legal input is required.
    • Working with Human Capital and analysing ethics best practices for the entire organisation
    • In conjunction with Human Capital effectiveness, provide ethics and compliance training to the executive team, senior management and other applicable teams in the business
    • Assist with developing a progressive training program for all incoming employees

    • Provide support where incidents are reported, including assistance in monitoring the actionable items reported
    • Manage and oversee the monitoring of non-financial compliance requirements.
