    Business Development Manager - New Business

    SUMMARY

    • The main purpose of this role is to sign up new accounts and to meet monthly and annual new business targets.
    • Strategic accounts need to be signed up and the implementation of these accounts needs to be managed by the candidate.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Prospect for new business and develop a qualified pipeline of leads and convert to actual billing sustainable clients.
    • Manage client relationships.
    • Monthly billing and financial reporting shared with the various stakeholders.
    • General administrative duties – daily.
    • Represent the DSV brand.
    • Analysis of sales related information and report weekly to Regional New Business Sales Manager.
    • Maintaining client data and updating regularly on CRM System, Dynamics.
    • Continuous reporting on competitor and industry analysis.
    • Assist in tender/proposal production and delivery. (Preparation and presentation)
    • Create sustainable value for customers by adopting an innovative approach to their business.
    • Ensure that the required quarterly, accumulative and annual targets are met.
    • Implementation and communication of signed business is shared with all stakeholders.
    • Management of debtor’s days of clients within the company’s requirements.
    • Ensure regular Inter department communication.
    • Identifying cross silo solutions and working with other Department heads to ensure successful partnerships.
    • Ensure that Dynamics is updated and maintained as per the company procedures and Quality Management System.
    • Carry out any other duties as may be requested by Management.
    • Meet the expected client call ratio KPI as indicated by your MAS.
    • Be deadline driven.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Completed Grade 12 / Matric
    • Tertiary qualification would be an advantage

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    • MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint at Intermediary level a MUST
    • Advanced skill would be greatly advantageous 

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • 2-3 years Key Account Management & New Business sales experience
    • Experience in prospecting for new business
    • Experience in achieving new business targets set
    • Tender Management
    • Experience in selling cross silo solutions
    • Signing up strategic new accounts and growing business
    • Experience with implementation of strategic accounts
    • Reporting day to day to the Regional Sales Manager
    • Weekly and Monthly reporting (where needed / requested)
    • Daily CRM updates and completion
    • Adhering to the MAS for the role

    Senior Process Specialist, Credit Risk

    Main Purpose of the Role

    • To identify, evaluate, and manage credit risks within DSV. This role involves ensuring the company's credit-related activities align with its risk appetite and regulatory requirements, minimizing financial losses, and supporting sustainable growth.
    • Analyse the creditworthiness of clients, counterparties, or investments by evaluating financial statements, credit scores, and industry trends. This role is Internal customer focused – identifying and demonstrating sensitivity to and understanding of customer needs without sacrificing processes and compliance.

    Tertiary Qualification

    • Completed or currently studying Credit Management/B. Com Accounting or
    • Financial accounting qualifications will be considered.

    Computer Literacy Level 

    • Above Average - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.

    Additional Computer Skills 

    • Working experience on an ERP System (SAP, and CargoWise1 preferred).
    • Cregalink / Atradius and Experian.

    Job Related Requirements

    • Experience with Credit Risk is a requirement.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable is advantageous.
    • Attention to detail when reviewing documents, credit reports and entering account information, as well as reporting accuracy.
    • Ability to assess the credit risk.
    • Quick and accurate in make decisions regarding the credit risk.
    • Clearly explain and communicates credit information to clients and internal stakeholders. 
    • Efficiently manage time to handle multiple accounts/tasks/reporting.
    • Ability to scrutinize and interpret credit reports and financial documents.
    • Ensure accurate and timely capture of information into relevant systems.
    • Regulatory compliance: understanding relevant regulations and laws governing credit risk.
    • Ability to interact professionally and courteously with clients.
    • Ability to identifying potential risk associated with credit risk.

    • Experience with credit bureaus.
    • Experience with debtors’ insurance.
    • Ability to address Management with concise information.

    Duties & Responsibilities 

    • Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end business processes relating to AR & Credit Risk in a freight forwarding / Logistics environment. 
    • Ensure that the Risk function provides quality service to both internal & external Customers
    • Ensure KPIs are met
    • Ensure good relationships are built and maintained with all relevant parties.  This includes fellow colleagues, Account managers, Sales representatives, Business Partners & External clients.
    • Ensure compliance with all finance policies, including Credit Risk Policy and Debtors insurance policy.
    • Administer the assigned Risk portfolio
    • Oversee the full claim’s function where required
    • Ad hoc projects relating to insurance, claims and processes
    • Monthly reports on insurance department performance
    • Extract Experian reports where appropriate
    • Make recommendations to reduce and/or control risk
    • Identify existing accounts which pose a credit risk & monitor potential and existing problem client accounts
    • Liaise with Debtor Insurer’s for cover on new and existing accounts
    • Reconcile Debtors insurer’s Annexure with our SAP data to ensure data quality is accurate
    • Maintenance of Client credit & insurance limits
    • Ensure adequate & accurate visibility is provided timeously to decision makers.
    • Adhere to month-end reporting deadlines.

    Supervisor, Operations, Road Transport

    SUMMARY

    • The role needs to ensure operations are managed in accordance with the DSV standards and policies and procedures and also have to ensure that the DSV strategy, goals and initiatives are cascaded down through the Rosslyn operations and the Clients it services.

    • Full accountability and supervision of the operation
    • Planning and dispatching of loads, including allocating Drivers to relevant routes
    • Vehicle and load tracking
    • Managing the POD processing as well as Driver debriefing
    • Monitoring fuel and Driver overtime costs as well as ensuring vehicles are maintained and serviced
    • Ensuring client’s needs and expectations are consistently met within scope of the SLA
    • Client interaction and issue resolution to ensure client satisfaction
    • Actively managing daily operational performance to consistently achieve performance metric targets
    • Delivering on client and internal requirements
    • Customer dissatisfaction process, analyze failures with regards to deliveries, client complaints, damages etc to determine root cause and corrective actions
    • Firm and consistent approach to ongoing performance measurement and management of team
    • Resolution of all IR issues in conjunction with HR
    • Coaching and mentoring of team to achieve client objectives
    • IDP and succession plans in place for key roles in place
    • Drive training interventions to close skills gaps in operations

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Completed Matric / Grade 12
    • Logistics / Warehouse Management or equavalent an added advantage

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    • Intermediate Excel skills
    • Transport tracking systems exposure, specifically on VFT

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • At least 3 years logistics experience, specifically focused on Road Transportation and dealing with Superlink Linehauls and Milkruns
    • Prior Team Leader or Supervisory exposure
    • Experience in planning and allocation of loads as well as followups and tracking
    • Experience in capturing POD's and debriefing of Drivers
    • Experience in monitoring costs and overtime
    • Experience in Driver and Vehicle management
    • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and multi tasking
    • Coaching and mentoring skills
