Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant (South Africa) with between 5-7 years of post articles experience 
• Experience with consolidated financial reporting for a large listed company, preferably within the mining industry.
• Experience in cross-departmental collaboration to produce financial and non-financial information.
• Experience with dealing in complex accounting matters. 

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to: 

• This role is primarily responsible for all aspects of consolidated financial reporting including, but not limited to, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of quarterly and annual financial statements and MD&A.
• This role is also involved in the preparation of the financial aspects of the Sustainability Report and ESTMA report.

Requirements:

• BCom Accounting degree with honors or equivalent
• Newly qualified chartered account registered with SAICA
• Completion of SAICA accredited articles preferably at a “Big 4” firm.
• Successful completion of the Initial Test of Competence and Assessment of Professional Competence examinations administered by SAICA 
• Experience within the mining industry would be advantageous 
• Exposure to organisations with a multinational footprint would be advantageous. 

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to: 

• Preparation of the group consolidation and the joint venture consolidation on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statements of the group
• Preparation of statutory financial statements of subsidiaries and joint ventures.
• Review of monthly reporting packs submitted by subsidiary accounting teams.
• Coordination of quarterly and annual external audits (group and subsidiaries)
• Preparation of the tax computations for companies within the Group.
• Monitoring of treasury balances and maintenance of related bank accounts.
• Preparation of surveys issued by Statistics Canada and the South African Reserve Bank
