    Financial Clerk

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

    • To provide financial administrative support and assist with the financial and asset management processes in the hospital.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

    • Administration of petty cash
    • Perform the buying function for operational procurement
    • Perform the receiving function for operational procurement
    • SAP financial super user
    • Stock replenishment (Buyer logistical role)
    • Perform the receiving function for stock procurement
    • Issuing of stock
    • Stock balance review and stock takes
    • Organisation of store
    • Request tax invoices for sundry customers and ensure payment is received  
    • Perform the receiving function for capital procurement
    • Asset (equipment) verification
    • Collection, reconciliation and deposit preparation of patient administration
    • Managing hospital account relationship with supplier
    • Disposal, transfers and scrapping of assets

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

    • ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:  Grade 12  
    • DESIRED EDUCATION: Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or relevant Financial / Business  Diploma or Certificate
    • REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
    • ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years’ experience in a financial environment or as a bookkeeper/ reconciliation /asset management experience.
    • DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in the financial department as a financial clerk; experience in a healthcare environment.

    Accounts Controller

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

    • To optimise revenue by ensuring that an accurate account is generated for each patient and the patient file contains all the relevant supporting documentation.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

    • Accurate and timeous billing of all charted items used during the patient's stay
    • Complete all patient files and ensure these contain all documents as well as a final billed account
    • Utilise and control applicable reports to ensure prompt finalisation and rendering of accounts
    • Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication with other departments

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

    • ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Grade 12

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    Credit Controller

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

    • To minimise the financial risk of the organisation proactively and ensuring maximum collection of outstanding debt.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

    • Manage and address financial risk
    • Collect outstanding debt within the set benchmark
    • Ensure effective utilisation of available resources to achieve optimal efficiencies

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

    • Grade 12 

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

    • Debt collection experience
    • Two to three years' experience in a debt collection environment
    • Exposure to private hospital environment

    REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    • Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding funder contracts, and the application thereof
    • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
    • Patient Administration policies and procedures
    • Sound Financial knowledge (e.g. reconciliations, debits and credits, adjustment journals, etc.)
    • Medical Aid requirements
    • Related Patient Admin programs on the AS400 system
    • Render and EDI processes, Follow-up for all financial classes, Unclaimed Overpayments and Bad Debt processes
    • Credit control
    • Debt collection policies, procedures and legislation
    • Relevant computer software packages (including Microsoft Office Packages, Connect, AS400 and Debtpack Enterprise Systems)
    • Relevant aspects of legislation w.r.t Debt collection environment (e.g. National Credit Act; Consumer Protection Act, Workman’s Compensation Act, etc.)

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

    • To provide electrical services and perform maintenance, repairs, and replacements on all relevant systems, infrastructure, and equipment in the locality.

    Pharmacist

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

    • To provide a patient-orientated pharmaceutical service that promotes appropriate use of medicines in the units

    • Assist with promoting and implementation of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Programme
