    Component Engineer - (PA 1077) - Kariega

    Job Description and Responsibilities    

    • The release of Body Department components and systems
    • The resolution of design related problems on all locally manufactured platforms
    • Keep accurate record of part level and software built in production (Bill of Material)
    • Co-ordination of testing and release of components & systems
    • Initiate and drive cost savings on components into production
    • Good problem solving and communication skills and have to function well within a group environment
    • Experience in driver assisting systems and e-Connectivity will be an advantage.
    • German communication skills will be an advantage

    Education and Experience    

    • National Diploma or Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
    • 5 year’s experience of Supplier/Quality/ Engineering experience on automotive components (Development /Improvements / Problem solving)

    ESSENTIAL:

    • Initiative, be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Pilot Hall Administrator - (PA 1144) - Kariega

    Job Description and Responsibilities    

    • To assist the Pilot Hall Leadership Team in the analysis, co-ordination, controlling and daily administration of Pilot Hall
    • Provide pro-active finical advice and exercise constructive controlling including Monthly forecasting on Overheads and Capex for the Business unit to meet financial performance targets, identify and report out of line situations and / or opportunities for financial improvements.
    • Coordinate Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental (OHSE) for the Business unit to ensure compliance in line with OHS, Environmental Policy and the Volkswagen Group Health and Safety Policy.
    • Coordinate Quality Management System (QMS) for the Business unit to ensure compliance in line with the Volkswagen Group Quality Policy.
    • Responsible for the creation of electronic presentations and documentation for Business meetings.
    • Responsible for the planning and organisation of Divisional Events and Workshops
    • Coordinate Overhead and Capex purchase orders as well as Capex requests for the Business Unit.
    • Responsible for the maintenance of an electronic filing system for the Business Unit by communicating and ensuring adherence to prescribed company and Divisional filing guidelines and systems.
    • Coordinate weekly Overtime requests and prepare Monthly Overtime Forecasts for the Business Unit.
    • Responsible for the preparation and submission of Timesheets as well as Standby and Acting Allowances for the Business Unit.

    Education and Experience    

    • A Formal 3-year Degree / Diploma in Commerce, Management Accounting, Business Management or equivalent Administrative Qualification with exposure to Finance
    • A minimum of 3 years’ working experience, preferably within the automotive industry

    Service Market Support Co-ordinator - (PA1249) - Kariega

    Job Description and Responsibilities    

    • Maintaining VW Alert roadside assistance programme for VW brand (handle queries, update training material, update booklets, conduct benchmarking)
    • Ordering, distributing and tracking Alert vehicles after decal fitment, 
    • Analysing generated reports, address non-contactable dealers, review VWAG requirements and participate in Tow-in Service Provider operational meetings.
    • Co-ordinating and monitoring dealer Alert vehicle floor plan arrangements
    • Publishing and managing Roadside Assistance Dealer Service Level Agreement.
    • Managing video Service Phantom testing (Mystery Shopping) for all brands.
    • Handling all customer queries that may arise from the usage of the vehicles during the Phantom Test (Mystery Shopping).
    • Compiling Phantom test (Mystery Shopping) samples on MasterLis.com (Phantom test administration system)
    • Ensuring testing is in line with VWAG requirements and act as South African Market Co-Ordinator.
    • Investigating, piloting, implementing and maintaining new service programmes/concepts within dealer network for all brands. 
    • Maintaining service and co-ordinate Retail Standards Audit for all brands.
    • Backing office support to all Technical Field Force (TFF) and Regional After Sales Managers.

    Education and Experience    

    • National Diploma / Degree in any relevant Engineering field/ Marketing/ Business Management. 
    • Minimum 3 years After Sales experience.

    • Must be familiar with Dealer After-Sales operating procedures and Dealer Business Management

    Homologation and Vehicle Legislation Specialist (PA 1246) - Kariega

    Job Description and Responsibilities    

    • Obtain national certification for Group vehicles in all target markets through the process of vehicle and component homologation.
    • Ensure homologation activities are scheduled, tracked and executed in alignment with divisional and corporate milestones.
    • Monitor and interpret legislation and regulations to ensure compliancy of products in markets.
    • Communicate regulation and legislation updates and changes throughout the company.
    • Interface with technical services and authorities.
    • Represent the company at regulatory and technical automotive forums.

    Education and Experience    

    • Diploma or Degree in Engineering
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an automotive industry 

    Skills, Attributes & Other requirements    
    ESSENTIAL:

    • Knowledge of Compulsory Vehicle Standards & Road Traffic Act
    • Knowledge of international Compulsory and Legal Requirements for Vehicle Type Approval
    • Strong communication and organisational skills
    • Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
    • Excellent Project Management skills
    • Strong knowledge of select VW Group systems (ELSA, ETKA, TADDO, DMS, AVON)
    • Code 8 EB Driving License
