    Facilities Manager

    Role summary

    • We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Manager to oversee and coordinate all maintenance operations for facilities and infrastructure at our Johannesburg Distribution Centre. The successful; candidate will be responsible for managing facility operations, including building maintenance, warehouse oversight, manages projects such as solar energy implementation and ensures proper maintenance of forklifts and material handling equipment.

    What you will do:

    • Collaborates with engineers, partners and suppliers to meet business goals in accordance with the sustainable use of facilities and budget demands.
    • Constructs an efficient facility maintenance team and guides training sessions to ensure quality performance.
    • Evaluates the operation's effectiveness with current utilities and equipment; provides appropriate solutions to challenges and risks.
    • Oversees inspections, repairs and updates of facilities and relevant operational activities; maintains order at the facility.
    • Collaborates with Global IT Support and IT Partners and Suppliers to meet business goals in accordance with the sustainable use of IT Hardware and IT Support.
    • Manage and support the local IT resource for PSLD
    • Knowledge of organization's budget process, ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget.
    • Managing and overseeing the Mobile Equipment program and support to all PSLD staff

    Skill you will have:

    • Budgeting: Knowledge of organization's budget process; ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget.
    • Effectiveness Measurement: Knowledge of effective measurement techniques and ability to measure the quality and quantity of work effort for the purpose of improvement.
    • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
    • Manufacturing Equipment: Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update and store them.
    • Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
    • Plant Facilities Management: Knowledge of processes, methodologies and techniques used to manage plant facilities; ability to handle the full spectrum of activities for managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure.
    • Supplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.

    What will put you forward

    • A completed 3-year university degree In Engineering or a related field.
    • 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
    • Clear communication for reporting, planning, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
    • Familiarity with maintenance of equipment like forklifts and material handling systems.
    • Basic understanding of IT systems like CCTV, access control etc.
    • Ability to plan, execute, and oversee facility-related projects

    Key Accounts Manager

    Job Summary

    • We have an exciting opportunity for a Territory Manager to join our team in South Africa. As a key representative of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation (CFSC) and Caterpillar Insurance Services Corporation (CISC), you will play a vital role in promoting and delivering innovative financial and insurance solutions to Caterpillar dealers and customers within your assigned territory. This role combines strategic relationship-building with a deep understanding of our products to drive value, support growth, and strengthen customer loyalty.     What You Will Do:

    • Represents the company professionally within a designated territory, providing training to dealer management and support staff on merchandising and financing programs for both private and government sectors.
    • Advises dealer personnel on tax law updates and financial principles, including discounted cash flow, time value of money, interest calculations, and accounting concepts like expense allocation, depreciation, and balance sheet financing to support equipment sales with Caterpillar Financial Services.
    • Builds strong customer relationships by explaining transaction quotes, gathering credit data, addressing technical queries, evaluating competitors, and securing customer agreement.
    • Manages existing finance contracts, including field audits to verify equipment use and location.
    • Responds to customer inquiries on property taxes and billing issues.
    • Supports collection of overdue payments and coordinates equipment repossession when necessary.
    • Negotiates transaction restructuring to align with customer needs and company goals.
    • Assesses the effectiveness of financing programs and provides market trend insights for business planning.
    • Aids CISC staff in promoting insurance products to dealers and supplies promotional materials for end-user distribution.
    • Demonstrates how to bundle financing and insurance solutions to meet customer requirements.

    Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:

    • Demonstrated knowledge of financing and leasing products, policies and procedures of the subsidiary.
    • Knowledge of credit and documentation procedures, processes and operations.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply math computation skills including those used in financial modelling and forecasting.
    • Knowledge of credit policies and procedures and pricing models to negotiate acceptable pricing and terms on transactions.

    Education/Experience:

    • A three-year university degree or equivalent diploma in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field is required.
    • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining or banking industry.
    • Demonstrated customer service and relationship management skills.
    • Experience in one or more of the following areas will be considered advantageous: Customer service, Collections or Financial statement analysis
