    Warehouse Supervisor

    Introduction

    • The Warehouse Supervisor contributes to the delivery of a smooth and efficient warehouse and logistics service through the supervision of the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate the movement and storage of stock in the warehouse including the routing of stock to the appropriate area, receipt and recording of accurately completed goods received vouchers, logging of inventory transactions and ensuring goods are safely stored.
    • Coordinate and organise the retrieval, filling of shipments, dispatch and delivery of goods whilst ensuring complete and accurate supporting documentation are in place and filed in order to ensure a high level of service delivery to clients.
    • Recommend and as appropriate implement measures including the use of lean operational practices to improve the quality of service, increasing efficiency of the warehouse, work crew and equipment performance.
    • Ensure client specifications are implemented and standard operating procedures and systems are maintained.
    • Develop, maintain and where relevant adjust work procedures to meet warehouse demands and implement plans to enhance and control the daily workflow of operations.
    • Maintain a healthy, safe, clean and secure warehouse and work environment, identify any potential risks and implement precautionary measures to protect employees.
    • Measurement and reporting of the effectiveness of warehouse activities by developing and maintaining work instructions for all tasks including the dispatch, collection & safe delivery of goods.
    • Develop and establish relationships with internal teams such as sales, etc. and through these partnerships ensure seamless and quality service to the client.
    • Carry out the coaching, training, and leading of work teams to achieve performance as it relates to specialization in receiving, processing, storage, order assembly or loading.
    • Ensure compliance of all relevant legislative requirements and that all activities in the area of responsibility are compliant with company specific regulations.

    Qualifications

    • Matric/Grade 12 or Equivalent Required (Diploma advantageous)
    • 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations of which 3 years should have been in a supervisory capacity
    • Knowledge of warehouse management and transportation

    SAP EWM Functional Consultant

    Introduction

    • Responsible for holistic deployment of large-scaled IT applications in organization, incl. elicitation of local legal requirement, setup of master data, documentation of functionalities supported by Technical Writers, support of User Acceptance Tests as well as training of super users and trainers of a country on the use of the application.
    • Takes business needs and requirements, refines and transforms into viable specifications and acceptance criteria.
    • Works close collaboration with the respective Business Architecture team, as well as Solution and IT Solution Architect.

    Responsibilities

    • Defines, documents and carries out IT projects or sub-projects alone or with a small team, actively participating in all phases.
    • Full responsibility for IT project. Plans and monitors the project tasks and resources and escalates in case of deviations. Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.
    • Agrees project approach with stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
    • Ensures that own projects are formally closed and where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are recorded.
    • Works in the front line with (future) users of applications and systems integrations. Understands business processes and translates them to the functionality in applications.
    • Sets configurable elements in the system to support business process or practice. Supports the User Acceptance Tests. Responsible for the documentation of functionalities.
    • Responsible to train the end-users, super-users and trainers of a country on the use of the applications. Carries out certain technical requirements in terms of configuration of systems and applications acc. to business requirements.
    • Configures software parameters, activities, system maintenance and system documentation. Carries out internal and customer testing of applications acc. to business requests.
    • Support and maintenance of local and regional IT Logistics services (i.e. applications and relevant hardware)
    • Responsible for 1st level support, and coordinates 2nd level support when needed.
    • Proactive user support in the workplace environment Coordination of the resolution of application, hardware and software problems.
    • Creation of temporary solutions until permanent solutions can be implemented.
    • Manage and monitor service level agreement targets to ensure that all targets are met.
    • Acts as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve software problems and map client business requirements, processes and objectives; develop necessary product modifications to satisfy clients' needs.
    • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the organization and adheres to all organizational standards. Drives regional IT strategy in the SSA cluster and countries.
    • Supports current SAP legacy system on Logistics Execution WMS platform.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s (or higher) degree level of computer science or equivalent.
    • Practical experience in the Contract Logistics & Warehousing business.
    • Must have competed at least one SAP EWM implementations.
    • Minimum 4-years SAP Functional Consultant (EWM, IM, MM, and SD)
    • Experience supporting technology solutions for end users. Strong technical aptitude to learn new technologies.
    • Good verbal and written skills to communicate with associates and all levels of management.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in team setting.
    • Must exhibit a strong desire to learn and grow. Ability to work long hours and weekends as dictated by business needs.
    • Ability to travel nationally and regionally when in demand. Ability to work in an agile team environment.
    • Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
    • Must be a self-starter and be able to successfully execute initiatives with minimal guidance and accomplish the stated goals.

    • Coordinate and organise (Inbound and QC Quality checks) teams according to productivity measures and KPI’s.
