    Data Scientist - Central Business Services

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to the CBS team to assist in driving data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in data science methodologies and a passion for translating complex data into actionable insights using tools such as (but inclusive of) Power BI and Excel. The candidate will be responsible for analysing, and visualizing data to create informative dashboards that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions with the ability to provide insights into the data as well.

    Experience

    • 5-10 relevant experience.
    • Expert level knowledge of SQL.
    • Advanced EXCEL.
    • Experience using Power BI or similar tools.
    • Data Integrations through API, ADF, Synapse, SSIS or similar tools.
    • Demonstrated ability to identify problems and provide solution.

    • Building tailor made SQL solutions for monitoring and automation of controls.

    Audit Quality and Risk - Monitoring and Evaluation Senior Manager (Africa)

    Job Description
    Support the audit practice‘s System of Quality controls and the implementation and application of the auditing standards, methodology and applicable regulations through

    • Consultations

    • Develop high-performing people and teams, leading and supporting them to make an impact that matters, and setting the direction to deliver exceptional client service
    • Performing an independent risk focused review of engagement files under the continuous monitoring programme

    • Uses experience, research and the ISA/Deloitte Methodology to develop solutions to issues identified on internal inspections and designs/suggests best practices to be used by practitioners in addressing identified deficiencies
    • Holding constructive discussions, challenging senior members of the engagement team on the appropriateness of and approach to identified audit risks
    • Liaising with engagement teams on resolution of any issues
    • Providing added value for engagement teams and the wider audit practice, supporting them in performing quality audits by collating insights and considering their wider communication throughout the firm

    • The Global Capture, Defend, and Convert Center (GCDC) is a DTTL Centre of Excellence within Global Audit that enables member firm account teams to Capture audit bids, Defend, current clients, and convert existing audit clients to advisory to foster “clients for life”. 
    • The main purpose of a Winning Business Individual in an Audit and Assurance environment is to secure new business opportunities and clients for the firm. This involves actively identifying and pursuing potential clients, understanding their needs, and presenting the firm's Audit and Assurance services in a compelling manner.
    • The role includes building and maintaining client relationships, staying informed about industry trends, and effectively communicating the value proposition of the firm's services to prospective clients. The goal is to contribute to the growth and success of the firm by expanding its client base and revenue in the Audit and Assurance sector.

    Their roles and responsibilities include:

    • Client Acquisition: Actively identify and pursue potential clients, understanding their needs and aligning them with the firm's Audit services.
