    Maintenance Coordinator - S3

    The Role:

    • To align maintenance and planning processes in accordance with the targets set for the Asset Agreements.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Develop processes and procedures for maintenance planning and inventory control
    • Plan maintenance activities for each asset agreement
    • Provide input on Key Performance Areas to be measured per asset agreement
    • Provide input on component replacement forecast
    • Identify technical issues in data acquisition, processing, utilisation, assess and resolve any issues found
    • Determine the processing methodologies to best transform data into usable business intelligence
    • Identify technical issues in data acquisition, processing, utilisation, assess and resolve any issues found
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to effectively understand business processes, and translate technical information into coherent business information
    • Provide training and maintenance procedures for planning processes
    • Take reasonable care of own safety and that of others

    Your Profile:

    • Grade 12/equivalent qualification
    • Trade certificate of competence would be advantageous
    • Maintenance Planning and Scheduling qualification would be advantageous
    • 2 - 3 years’ experience in maintenance planning including inventory planning and management
    • Knowledge of maintenance fundamentals
    • Data analytics experience
    • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
    • Trackless mining experience would be advantageous
    • Physical and medical ability to function in a mining environment
    • English proficiency
    • Computer literacy
    • Valid driver’s license

    Project Manager

    Purpose of the role:

    • Support Capital Sales and Aftermarket on capital equipment and large-scale aftermarket orders ensuring the efficient execution of project related tasks to meet objectives in accordance with the customers’ requirements. The role serves as a key liaison between multiple departments, maintaining a high level of communication, organization, and attention to detail across all stages of the project. The position is responsible for overseeing that all processes, documents, schedules, approvals, and invoicing are managed effectively, and in accordance with internal and customer-specific requirements.

    The job responsibilities:

    • Review customer tender requirements and technical specifications to ensure that the project requirements are outlined in the proposal.
    • Review project documents on order placement- scope of work, technical, quality and commercial requirements.
    • Co-ordinate resources and deliverables with internal stakeholders.
    • Facilitate general arrangement drawing approvals.
    • Review and ensure correct material allocations on Syspro versus the drawing and Bill of Materials.
    • Attend customer’s kick-off and progress meetings.
    • Coordinate Internal kick-off meetings.
    • Submit complete and up to date project schedules.
    • Submit progress reports & schedules to customers.
    • Manage mid-project changes to the scope, schedule, and costs.
    • Consult with Finance on submission of project milestone invoices.
    • Review labour hours and costs in line with the sales cost.
    • Facilitate job closing and invoicing.
    • Co-ordinate customer inspections and tests with Operational & Quality departments.
    • Liaise with the Freight department regarding customer’s packing and transport Incoterm requirements.
    • Review and submit supplier document as per project data requirement list.
    • Document management i.e., Quality documents, manuals, spares list on customer’s document control portals.

    EHS Responsibilities

    • Live the Sandvik EHS Culture and adhere to EHS management system requirements.
    • Report on instances of non-adherence, unsafe or unhealthy practices.

    Qualifications & Experience Requirements

    • Degree in Project Management, Civil, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certifications is an advantage.
    • A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Project Management
    • Must have a strong combination of technical knowledge, stakeholder management skills, and customer interfacing experience.

    Other Requirements & Competencies

    • Expertise in creating and managing project schedules, budgets, and resources.
    • Proficiency in project management software like Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar tools.
    • Substantial Project Management experience is essential in the manufacturing industry, ideally with experience in equipment and large-scale aftermarket projects.
    • Transportation and Shipping of Out of gauge /abnormal goods is advantageous.
    • Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business requirements to manage key stakeholders within the project.
    • Strong negotiation to influence internal/external stakeholders.
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team, receives minimal guidance.
    • Must be able to manage a diversity of functions / multi- tasking.
    • Structured analytical approach and critical thinking skills.
    • Advanced competency level in business software packages.
    • Good people and communication skills.
    • Customer Centric
    • Valid driver’s license

    Boilermaker - S2

    The Role

    • Provides technical support in mechanical maintenance. Maintains and improves machines and equipment to increase or maintain a high level of reliability, availability, cost efficiency and performance.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Mechanical maintenance operations.
    • Preventive maintenance, perform corrective actions, supports planning and preparation, monitors outcome, documentation (outcome, root cause, time, improvements).
    • Work in accordance with standard operating procedures.
    • Achievement of maintenance targets.
    • Follow quality and cleanliness standards.
    • Communication of operational status and any deviations.
    • Safety and housekeeping (5S) requirements.
    • Continuous improvements and development on a personal and operational level.

    Profile Required

    • Grade 12 / N3 Technical Qualification / Equivalent Qualification
    • Trade Certificate, Section 13 or 26D Trade Certificate, accompanied by proof of apprenticeship.
    • Basic Computer literacy
    • English proficiency
    • Relevant mechanised mining experience
    • Underground/surface mining environment
    • Maintenance of earthmoving equipment in mining/construction environment
