    Senior Compliance Manager

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in law, Risk Management, Business Administration, Accounting, and/or related field.
    • Postgraduate qualification or CA(SA)
    • Compliance certification (e.g., CISA) or membership with IRMSA.

    Minimum advanced skills and knowledge in:

    • Minimum 5 - 10 years’ experience in compliance and/or risk management roles with a strong understanding of legal and regulatory framework.
    • 5- 10 + years’ experience in compliance and/or enterprise risk management within a multinational environment.
    • Experience in the mining industry or a similar operationally complex environment / heavily regulated industry is advantageous.
    • Proven track record in developing and implementing compliance and risk frameworks.
    • Knowledge and/or experience of the requirements under ISO 37301 compliance management systems
    • Knowledge and experience of compliance management software / technology and tools.
    • Experience with data protection mechanisms and compliance reporting.
    • Proficient in developing metrics for compliance performance assessment.

    Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to: 

    Process: 

    • Develop, implement and maintain group wide compliance policies, procedures and processes in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and generally accepted compliance practices.
    • Establish, implement and maintain compliance monitoring programmes and risk management plans across all jurisdictions and Group business units.
    • Design and maintain a regulatory universe and compliance framework aligned to the Group risk management framework.
    • Conduct on an ongoing basis compliance and risk assessments across business units and departments (Finance, Legal, Mining, Projects, HR, etc.) to identify any compliance gaps and assess control effectiveness.
    • Manage and/or conduct internal investigations, implement action plans, and follow-up on compliance and risk-related issues.
    • Investigate and resolve compliance issues, reporting findings and recommendations to senior management
    • Ensure proper documentation of compliance monitoring and implementation across Group business divisions
    • Monitor and report on key risk indicators and control effectiveness.
    • Analyze operational incidents, assess root causes, and report on risk trends and mitigation measures.
    • Engage in regulatory tracking, compliance training, and stakeholder communications.
    • Monitor any changes in applicable laws, regulations and generally accepted compliance standards, adapt/modify risk and compliance policies accordingly to ensure that documentation is current and accessible.
    • Utilize data analytics to conduct deep dives and identify inefficiencies and arbitrage opportunities.
    • Provide guidance and training to Group officers and employees on compliance requirements and ethical practices
    • Promote awareness and training of compliance and risk management best practices.
    • Collaborate with legal, company secretarial, risk management, and operational teams to ensure alignment of compliance efforts with Group objectives and goals.
    • Administer and monitor internal assessments and insurance risk recommendations.
    • Where appropriate, act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, overseeing the organization’s compliance with external audits and reviews ensuring timely and accurate reporting and responding to inquiries.

    Senior Project Planner

    You will have the following:

    • Good working knowledge of primarily Primavera P6 and secondary Microsoft Projects 2016 planning systems.
    • Minimum of ten(10) year related-work experience in the construction and/or mining industry, and five(5) years as a project planner/scheduler

    Preferably you will have:

    • Practical Planning Training that enhances Microsoft Projects, Primavera 6 Planning systems and Palisade Decision Tools @Risk

    Technical Skills should include:

    • Ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders and coordinate work required
    • Ability to strategise for longer terms plans for adequate and effective implementation of sustainability reporting and compliance

    Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to: 

    Process: 

    • Ensure compliance to the Project Schedule
    • Flag any deviations and report to the Project Controls Manager and facilitate communication and reporting with the project stakeholders.
    • Reschedule, with the Project Controls Manager, any and all activities where deviations
    • Weekly updating the schedule and presenting progress to
    • Work closely with all contractor and Owners Team Management on all project
    • Maintaining a well-documented Risk Register on scheduling.

    Plant OperatorsX 7 (REF: IVP-PL-01)

    Suitable candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • Grade 12.
    • A minimum of Five (5) years of operational experience as a Plant Operator is essential.
    • Valid South African Driving License.

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience: 

    • Minimum Five (5) years’ experience in a PGM production plant.
    • Proven operational experience in PGM plant crushing, Milling, flotation, reagents, and filtration.
    • Be prepared to work shifts
    • Valid medical certificate or be medically fit to obtain such a certificate.
    • Computer literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet 

    Your successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to: 

    • Work shift cycle.
    • Monitor and adjust plant parameters to ensure shift targets are achieved.
    • Maintain a reliable reporting and communication system that is in place.
    • Take corrective actions accordingly and eliminate deviations in the processing plant that may influence production or safety.
    • Ensure all team members adhere to work schedules.
    • Perform general housekeeping.
    • Conduct area inspections and audits.
    • Adhere to SHE and OHS principles.
    • Ensure compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and standards.
    • Apply the Ivanplats principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for your safety and that of others to ensure zero harm and the elimination of fatalities and loss-time injuries in accordance with the Ivanplats Standards and Mine Health and Safety Act.

    Plant ForemanX 2 (REF: IVP-PL-01)

    Suitable candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • Grade 12/ NQF Level 4 is essential 
    • A minimum of 8 years of job experience as a Plant Shift Leader / Senior Control Room Operator is essential 
    • Valid South African Driving License. 

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience: 

    • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a PGM production plant.
    • Working on shift.
    • Proven plant operational experience in PGM plant crushing, grinding, flotation, and filtration.
    • Diagnostic skills, including but not limited to root cause analysis, trend analysis, and problem solving.
    • Team leading and supervisory skills.
    • Valid medical certificate or be medically fit to obtain such a certificate.
    • Computer literate with Scada, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet

    Your successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to: 

    • Commissioning of the Platreef concentrator.
    • Lead the team in executing daily operational activities and ensuring adherence to SHE and OHS principles.
    • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
    • Ensure production targets are achieved.
    • Check staffing figures at the start of the shift and ensure that all plant activities are functionally covered.
    • Familiarise him/herself with production process activities and trends, and brief operators accordingly at the start of each shift.
    • Take corrective actions and instruct staff accordingly regarding significant deviations in the processing plant that may influence production or safety.
    • Ensure all team members adhere to work schedules.
    • Ensure compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and standards.
    • Audit of sampling equipment and ensure adherence to procedure.
    • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for members, fostering a high-performance and accountability culture.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, maintenance, technical department, and safety, to drive process efficiencies and to resolve production issues.
    • Apply the Ivanplats principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for your safety and that of others to ensure zero harm and the elimination of fatalities and loss-time injuries in accordance with the Ivanplats Standards and Mine Health and Safety Act.
