    Shift Coordinator (Fixed Term Contract)

    • RCL FOODS is seeking to employ a Shift Coordinator on a Fixed Term Contract for their Groceries Division. The role will be based in Randfontein and will report into the Unit Manager.
    • The purpose of the role is to ensure the efficient, cost-effective production of high-quality products in alignment with daily and weekly plans. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and continuous improvement, with performance evaluated regularly against specific goals and competencies. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining a safe working environment in the Peanut Butter Plant by identifying risks and implementing preventive measures.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Must have an N6 or Diploma in Operations Management or Engineering.
    • Must have a good understanding of production processes and knowledge of hygiene, safety and food handling standards.

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Production & Operations:

    • Ensure consistent product quality through process control and corrective actions.

    • Minimize waste and optimize resource allocation.
    • Perform equipment changeovers and adjustments as needed.

    Quality Management:

    • Comply with QMS standards (e.g., ISO, HACCP, BRC).
    • Maintain and update quality documentation.
    • Ensure team adherence to procedures and policies.
    • Participate in HACCP and Food Safety teams if required.

    Asset Care & Maintenance:

    • Perform and oversee preventive maintenance tasks.
    • Inspect equipment and initiate necessary repairs.

    • Record breakdowns and provide feedback on corrective actions.

    Line Performance Optimization:

    • Improve line efficiency and availability.

    Material Replenishment Planner

    • RCL FOODS is searching for a Material Replenishment Planner to join the Groceries Division. The role will be based in Randfontein, Gauteng and will report into the Lead MRP.
    • The Material Replenishment Planner is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, components, and packaging to support production schedules and customer demand. This role manages inventory levels, monitors supplier performance, and balances cost efficiency with service excellence.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
    • 2–5 years’ experience in material planning, supply planning, or inventory management (manufacturing/FMCG/industrial preferred).
    • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Syspro/FlowCentric).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    • Track, analyse, and report key supply metrics such as stock-outs, lead times, supplier forecast accuracy supplier reliability, etc.
    • Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.

    • We have an opportunity for an Assistant Category Manager within our Customer Marketing Team, supporting the Pies category. The role will be based in Westville and report to the Category Manager.

    RCL Foods entrusts the Assistant Category Manager to:

    • Support the Category Manager to drive category growth
    • Administer and manage projects, analytics, and Go-To-Market initiatives to achieve category volume and profit objectives, as assigned

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Category Planning:

    • Support the Category Manager in annual business planning process through data analysis, insights and identification of growth opportunities.
    • Support the development of proposals and recommendations for customers in executing category management projects, including, NRM (Net Revenue Management) initiatives
    • Liaise with the operations team to ensure smooth implementation of initiatives.

    Category Management:

    • Support the category measure and review category performance, margins and customer profitability.

    • Execute brand standards (brand DNA) and support development.

    Innovation & Shopper Support:

    • Assist the Category Manager in development of new product launch plans

    • Ensure all marketing material is within brand CI across the brands
    • Build and deliver always on digital shopper comms to support shopper conversion 
    • Ensure that critical customer information is available to the customer team

    Information Analysis, Management and Reporting:

    • Analyse and interpret key data to provide feedback on category performance and drive actions 
    • Assist in the compilation of business reports, presentations and category performance analysis (incl. causes of deviation) with an eye on NRM practices.

    Financial Management:

    • Support in management of the customer marketing spend budgets within agreed limits and ensure that all initiatives are shown to be commercially sound
    • Execute specific elements of the NRM Program, e.g. promo analysis as per agreed targets
    • Understand key drivers of profitability and revenue growth to assist in achievement of targets

    KPI’s:

    • Business growth targets – volume, revenue and profit
    • Execution of customer plans and specific projects KPIs
    • Digital and social metrics and measurements
    • Shelf space and product availability
    • Accuracy of reporting
