    Transaction Advisor

    A Financial Services Company has a vacancy available for a Transaction Advisor, to join a team of innovative individuals in Cape Town or Centurion.

    Managing complex multi-faceted transactions and presenting findings to stakeholders and clients are some of the key focus areas of this role. Subject to performance, this role has an exciting progression plan which could lead to Executive Directorship.

    Key Qualifying criteria for the Transaction Advisor:

    • BCom Finance degree, CA(SA) or MBA (highly preferred)
    • 5+ years' experience in a project finance environment
    • 5+ years' experience of projects from feasibility studies to financial closing
    • 4+ years' Management Consulting or Strategy Consulting experience
    • Infrastructure, Energy or Mining sector project experience - NB
    • Experience managing internal and external multi-disciplinary teams
    • Experience managing junior support teams

    Key Duties for the Transaction Advisor:

    • Interpret Financial modelling
    • Execute on Project Finance processes (transaction cycles / project timelines)
    • Liaise with clients
    • Manage complex multifaced transactions
    • Implement fund raising or transaction advisory work
    • Co-ordinate feasibility studies
    • Manage allocated modeller
    • Ensure deliverables are met
    • Manage sub-contractors
    • Oversight of junior staff members
    • Report-writing
    • Present findings to clients / EXCO / Board

    Development Economist

    A growing Financial Services firm is seeking the skills and expertise of a Development Economist to be based in either Cape Town or Centurion.

    The Development Economist will be responsible to undertake the economic analysis workstream for the energy and infrastructure project feasibility studies. This role entails a strong advisory aspect between the company and clients in the Private and Public sector across Africa.

    Key Qualifying criteria for the Development Economist:

    • Advanced degree in Economics / Public Administration / Business
    • 5+ years' experience advising Public and Private sector clients
    • 5+ years' experience in sourcing and leveraging data for cost-benefit analysis
    • Industry experience in Infrastructure and Energy (NB)MS Excel, MS Work & MS PowerPoint experience essential
    • Strong experience of cost-benefit analysis (NB)

    Key Duties for the Development Economist:

    • Economic Cost-Benefit Analysis together with supporting research
    • Estimating social and economic costs and benefits based on benchmarking or other techniques
    • Keep up to date with economic trends related to the energy, infrastructure decarbonisation and regenerative initiatives
    • Assess the likely adequacy of the impacts of projects and the associated economic initiatives, including consideration of gender, age, race etc, of the beneficiaries
    • Provide insights and actionable results through well-written reports and presentations to key stakeholders
    • Pro-actively seek new expertise and knowledge to improve and support all areas of work
    • Provide advise and solutions on economic and development issues to clients
    • Project manage, plan, prepare and review scope and deliverable for assignments
    • Use quantitative analysis techniques to support assignment objectives
    • Business development and identify new business opportunities
    • Profession in time to Deal Maker (Deal Origination)

    Senior Financial Modeller 50896423/001

    A Project Financial Advisory Company has a vacancy available for a Transaction Advisor, a team of innovative individuals in Centurion.
    The key responsibilities of the role of Senior Financial Modeller will include the building and updating of detailed project finance models as part of the project development lifecycle, report writing and the management of the Databook. As a senior in the department, this role has the potential to grow into a leadership position as well as expand one's skills, experience and expertise.

    Key Qualifying criteria for the Senior Financial Modeller:

    • BCom Finance, Actuarial Science of Mathematics related degree (Highly preferred).
    • 3-5 years experience as a Financial Modeller.
    • Must have project related experience in the Infrastructure, Energy or Mining industries.
    • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and VBA.
    • Staff management experience would be advantageous

    Key Duties of the Senior Financial Modeller:

    • Managing key projects' finance requirements.
    • Build and update detailed project financial models.
    • Finance model review.
    • Understand how various projects function in real life.
    • Report-writing and presenting results to stakeholders.
    • Managing Databook.
    • Mentor and guide Junior Modeller.
