    Field Service Supervisor - Klipfontein

    Key Job Responsibilities

    • Always maintain safety standards (SHE) and ensure proper use and control of the team's personnel protective equipment (PPE);
    • Perform maintenance on all KMC equipment according to the KMC Standard. Ensure all documentation is correctly recorded and secured Customer Maintenance system & KMC system (Mobile rounds);
    • Drive and assist in implementing the IPSECA Maintenance process and provide information to the Maintenance planner. This will be an integrated part of the Customer maintenance and Sub-Assembly teams - planning, organizing, and executing;
    • Always maintain quality workmanship. Follow and implement KMC fitment and replacement standards for sub-assemblies and submit information on Salesforce;
    • Promote continuous improvement by identifying and facilitating the implementation of new ideas, processes, and/or methods. Report to the site CPT/Site Manager and feed into KMC Mobile Rounds system;
    • Inspect production machines to safely operate all components after maintenance completion and sub-assembly replacements;
    • Record additional information such as tonnages, sub-change outs, market share, fleet statuses, PDUs, commissioning of equipment, flawless start-up, and chain wear and conditions with the onsite service team;
    • Provide additional support for Field service technicians during breakdowns due to the Fulco system. Manage Field service team members when required;
    • Perform MCAs (Machine condition assessment) on all KMC Equipment - Continuous Miners & Shuttle cars;
    • Disassembly of Machines for the rebuild process;
    • Assemble Machines & Commission of machines before they are put into Production;
    • Communicate & create visibility of Equipment Issues; Execution Challenges; Operational issues & Life Cycle management at all levels.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Matric / N3;
    • Qualified Electrician / Millwright / Fitter with gas testing and flameproofing;
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Underground mining industry environment;
    • Must understand Maintenance & Sub Replacement processes (Maintenance experience on JOY machines;
    • Understand and fabricate as per approved OEM drawings;
    • Valid Driver’s License;
    • Own transport;
    • Perform Standby Duties; Work Overtime when required;
    • Must be able to obtain a medical clearance. (Red Ticket).

    Supply Chain Director - Wadeville

    Job Specification (not totally inclusive)

    • Providing leadership and direction to the Supply Chain department, develop and execute corporate purchasing strategy and ensure that raw material, packaging materials, expense items etc. are sourced and procured at lowest cost of ownership.
    • Reviewing and developing detailed Supply Chain strategies, ensuring each provides desired outcomes of world class performance in accordance with changing global markets.
    • Maximizing the opportunities for Supply Chain function by fully managing the tools of the ERP (SAP software) and utilize the potential of e-business.
    • Contributes to the achievement of the broader organizational strategy as part of the Africa Leadership team.
    • Planning and guiding the optimization of inventory levels to meet customer requirements while maintaining responsibility for continuous improvement against working capital objectives.
    • Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Operations team to develop, monitor, analyze and drive improvement in operational capacity plans; and
    • Ensuring that purchasing processes comply with relevant legislation, legal requirement and high ethical standards.

    Minimum Skills required

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
    • 12+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management role within Manufacturing/Engineering/Mining environment of which five years must have been occupying senior management role.
    • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).
    • Must have good understanding and working knowledge of BBBEE and Mining Charter.
    • High level of experience and understanding of the latest supply chain concepts and methodologies across a range of disciplines such as material management, logistics warehousing and distribution and purchasing management.
    • Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing processes and methods including Kanban, value stream mapping, visual controls and performance system.
    • A comprehensive understanding of full supply chain principles and methodology required to support the business.
    • SAP R/3 and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); and
    • Must have valid driver’s license and own reliable transport

    Millwright

    Job Specification (not totally inclusive):

    • Isolate equipment and machinery and lockout and tagout when safe to perform any maintenance task,
    • Perform the required planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure smooth, efficient operation of the plant and machinery,
    • Perform fault finding and repairs on mechanical / electrical equipment,
    • Perform daily and weekly inspection, record and report any deviation that may affect the operation of the plant,
    • Perform preventative maintenance activities as assigned by the Maintenance Planner.

    Minimum Skills required:

    • Grade 12/Matric or equivalent,
    • Millwright trade test (Red Seal),
    • 3 years of relevant maintenance experience,
    • Electrical High and Low Voltage skills,
    • HT Switching experience.
