    Transport Controller

    He/she will also be required to:

    • Manage the day to day transport service requirements
    • Accurate daily planning and effective usage of resources
    • Daily briefing and debriefing of drivers
    • Daily vehicle routing and scheduling
    • Daily monitoring and tracking of vehicles
    • Ensure highest possible customer service levels
    • Ensure that the fleet is in a roadworthy condition and conforms to Company policy in terms of branding and cleanliness
    • Effective supervision of Drivers and General Assistants
    • Effective management of Drivers and General Assistants discipline, time keeping and attendance
    • Effective communication and reporting on various platforms as required by the Company
    • Liaise with Human Resources department in respect of any staff related issues that do arise
    • Ensure Occupational Health and Safety requirements are adhered to

    QUALIFYING CRITERIA

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Previous Fleet controlling experience will be an added advantage
    • Transport Management or similar qualification will be an added advantage
    • Proven Leadership ability – must be able to lead by example.
    • Code 14 driver’s license and (PrDP) will be an advantage
    • Basic Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel and Microsoft Office)
    • Working knowledge of vehicle tracking systems

    Security Officer

    Responsibilities (NOT limited to the below)

    • Ensure access and egress is controlled at all SA Metal property by completing the necessary registers and operating the gates
    • Searching pedestrians, vehicles and personal belongings of any person/s exiting SA Metal premises
    • Ensure that all customers and visitors are issued with PPE and that the PPE is returned after their visit
    • Ensure that any item/s leaving the SA Metal premises is accompanied by the relevant documentation
    • Ensure that all company procedures are adhered to before granting access to staff viz. Breathalyzer tests are conducted and passed
    • Ensure that all gates are manned at all times
    • Ensure that all the assigned areas are patrolled at regular intervals
    • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are fully adhered to at all times

    QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE

    • Previous security experience, at least 5 years
    • Registered with PSIRA - minimum Grade C
    • Grade 12 or equivalent with good numeracy and literacy skills
    • Willing to work shifts, both day and night
    • Flexible and willing to work overtime
    • Excellent communications skills

    Data Capturer

    HE/SHE WILL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO:

    • Accurately enter and maintain data into relevant databases and systems
    • Verify and cross-check data for accuracy and completeness
    • Organize and maintain electronic and physical records
    • Assist with data audits and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
    • Handle multiple data entry tasks efficiently and meet set deadlines
    • Provide support for other administrative and ad-hoc duties as required
    • Assist in creating and managing reports and documents as needed
    • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations
    • Perform routine checks to ensure the integrity of entered data

    QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE

    • Grade 12
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and data management software
    • Minimum of 2-3 years` data capturing or administrative experience advantageous

    Buying Administrator

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    • Maintain the CTT (Customer Tonnage Tracker) spreadsheet
    • Registering and processing of Customer information
    • Interacting with Customers telephonically and in person
    • Creating and updating Customer leads and sending the correct information to the Buyers
    • Assist and effectively communicate with the Payments Department
    • Handle the Sand Sales
    • Manage Customer requests for POP’s
    • Maintain the DN book data base as well as issuing DN books and ensuring that old DN books are returned
    • Filing of the Buying Departments paperwork
    • Intake reports for Buyers and Customers
    • Adhoc admin tasks including but not limited to capturing and updating spreadsheets and lists timeously

    QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE

    • Matric
    • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Work and advanced Excel
    • Minimum of 2 years’ sales administration, sales support or customer service experience or previous experience in a sales environment will be advantageous
    • A minimum of 1 year experience within an administrative role
    • Must own a reliable vehicle and possess a valid Drivers license
    • Knowledge of basic accounts management would be advantageous

    Semi Skilled Communications Technician

    Job Description

    • The Communications department currently has a vacancy for a hardworking, reliable individual to join their team. 

    Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Assisting with installation, wiring and mounting of various electronic devices, machines or equipment
    • Installation and wiring of access control systems, CCTV cameras and motorized entrance points
    • Installation, fault finding, relocation and fitment of all telecommunications
    • Fitting of data cables for all network points and power skirting
    • Assist in moving offices and setting up PC’s, Phone lines, and moving files
    • Mounting, wiring and fitting grids for wireless infrastructure
    • Day to day maintenance ,installation and servicing of security equipment
    • Tool and equipment maintenance
    • Adhoc activities as requested by Manager/Team Leader
    • Housekeeping
    • Understanding of and abiding by the regulations as set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act

    Qualifying Criteria

    • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within an electronic security field
    • Basic electric/electronic ,CCTV or alarm courses
    • Basic camera ,alarm, automation ,data cabling ,electric fencing ,230V electricity knowledge
    • Knowledge and experience working with power tools
    • Valid driver’s license or actively in the process of obtaining a driver’s license
    • Must be prepared to work overtime when required
