    Centre Manager

    Job description

    PRIMARY JOB OVERVIEW:

    Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Centre.

    Focus on 4 main KPA’s;

    • Centre operations & financial management (Ensure all facets of the centre run correctly and efficiently)
    • Stock and merchandise management (Records delivery of merchandise compares record with merchandise ordered and reports discrepancies to control costs and maintain correct inventory levels)
    • Sales and Service (driving sales, meeting sales targets, providing excellent customer service which lives up to the core values of our brand)
    • Staffing (leading, motivating, training and building a successful team. Ensures that staff achieves sales targets and manages controllable expenses within agreed limits)
    • Effectively maintain budget allowances
    • Petty Cash Balancing and proof of purchase, recording office expenditure
    • Cut costs where required – overspending or high consumptions at Centre
    • Reconcile order clerks daily cash summaries
    • Checking of float breakdowns and signing them off
    • Cross Refers and balancing of daily cash summaries, checking void and cancelled orders
    • Checking of EFT payments into the Standard bank account
    • Safekeeping of all cash and banking thereof daily
    • Storing or Filing of Recons and other documents e.g. deposit slips, enrolment forms, credit card slips, and proof of cash collection
    • Checking of completed enrolment forms before sending them to H/O for filing
    • Responding to customer enquiries and complaints
    • Completing weekly service reports and mailing to superior
    • Make notes onto the Ascendis software system
    • Management of the Monthly Marketing Promotions
    • Keep up to date on the knowledge and display of specials or new products
    • Making use of the display clipboards and counter display holders for advertisements
    • Issuing of hand-outs advertisements with parcels.
    • Promotional stock is ordered and promotional items are displayed
    • Partner with HR to maintain office policies as necessary
    • Attending H/O trainings and meetings
    • Ensure orders clerks are trained, new Sales tactics
    • Read and Response time for emails internal or external
    • Delegating work to staff and manage workload
    • Coordinate with IT department on all IT related issues
    • Processing the F.I.F.O system and notify superior of expired stock
    • Stock order and shelf levels are adhered to
    • All stock are clean and checked for Quality before selling them to the customers

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • 2 -3 years managerial experience in retail
    • Matric Qualification
    • Excellent Negotiation and Communication Skills
    • Ability to drive and reach sales targets with the team
    • Customer service and rapport building skills
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
    • Ability to motivate and inspire team
    • Computer Literacy (POS, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
    • Experience within the Direct Selling environment will be advantage
