Purpose of the role

Applies current .NET technologies to design, develop and implement web parts and custom web applications in support of business requirements. Maintains deployed applications and participates in testing processes.

Requirements

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational)
• 3+ years’ work experience with the following languages and tools
• .NET based programming languages (C#, VB.Net)
• Professional standards-based web development using ASP.Net, HTML / HTML5, CSS / CSS3, JavaScript and JQuery
• Visual Studio
• Microsoft SQL Server development
• Microsoft SharePoint 2010 / 2013 and a thorough understanding of SharePoint server farms
• SharePoint Designer, InfoPath

Professional development experience in

• Developing applications using the SharePoint server object model and API’s
• Developing client-side code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other technologies
• Custom web parts, timer jobs and creation of custom workflows; Event receivers
• Implementing and maintaining SharePoint master pages and page layouts

Communication skills

• Analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Creative and pays attention to detail
• Adaptable to change with a willingness to take ownership and accountability
• Is well organized, a good communicator, able to effectively prioritize tasks
