    Marketing Manager

    Job description

    Summary of Role

    The Marketing Manager will develop and support the marketing efforts of our biggest client, WhereIsMyTransport, contributing to the achievement of business priorities. They will bring strategic, practical and creative direction, as well as exceptional project management skills, in order to deliver the strategy and goals of our business. They will:

    Develop and support marketing activities that generate leads and build favourable perception of our business

    Monitor and evaluate the implementation of those activities using marketing analytics tools and through close work with our Business Development team

    Act as a champion of customers insight, ensuring that this is integral in any marketing efforts

    Responsibilities/Duties

    • Distil key communications messages and use these to inform marketing plans

    • Development of overarching, multi-channel marketing campaigns

    • Support other marketing team member projects, aligned with company goals 

    • Monitor competitor and peer brand marketing approaches, and our comparative strengths and weaknesses

    • Monitor trends and new creative concepts that push the boundaries in marketing techniques and channels, adapting activities to include them if considered suitable for business strategy

    • Leverage internal expertise to achieve greater impact and coverage, ensure accurate activities, and generate internal buy-in

    • Develop and manage a company editorial calendar across blog, social media, and any other communications channel, working with colleagues in the business to generate effective content

    • Be an able and effective spokesperson for the business

    • Measure and report on all Marketing and Communications activities against agreed KPIs aligned to company goals

    • Marketing tools and systems implementation, optimisation and analysis

    Background/Skills/Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will have broad marketing experience, ideally in Southern African regions

    • Experience in B2B or B2G marketing
    • Come from a startup or tech background
    • Data driven with excellent data analysis skills
