Senior Civil Structural Engineer at Amec Foster Wheeler

Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a Senior Civil Structural Engineer with extensive experience in the Mining and Metals industry.

• Initiate and develop ergonomic and cost effective designs under limited direction
• Complete appropriate project specific specifications and norms as required
• Work closely with other consultants and project team to ensure that client’s objectives are met in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance and take initiative for safety and environmental issues
• Develop tender documentation and complete tender adjudications
• Develop commercial acumen
• Be an active role model and lead by example to promote the Amec Foster Wheeler values and Code of Business Conduct
• Provide positive and demonstrated leadership on HSSE issues within your area of operation
• Read, understand and implement the HSSE policies, procedures and Beyond Zero programme
• Promote an enthusiastic HSSE culture that delivers positive commitment to and engages all employees in continuous improvement in HSSE performance
• Monitor personnel under your area of control comply with their individual responsibilities to HSSE matters

   

Skills / Qualifications

• B.Eng – Civil engineering / B.Tech – Civil engineering / M.Eng - Structural Engineering
• Professional registration
• Minimum 10 years direct design responsibility for major civil and structural works for mining process plants
• Civil design experience on crushing and milling plants
• Dynamic analysis and design
• Site experience
