General Purpose of the Job

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for Financial Function of the Entities delegated. They will support the Entities through collection, processing, recording, reconciliation and reporting of Financial Data, Verifying the Validity, completeness and accuracy. Maintain complete and proper records of Revenue, Expenditure, Assets and Liabilities and ensures the accuracy and integrity of the Financial Information.

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Senior Certificate or NQF4 equivalent
• BCom (Accounting) or similar qualification
• CA (SA)

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Code B Driver’s License and own Transport
• Passed Credit and Criminal Checks
• No Credit Record
• Solvent

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 5 – 7 years working experience
• Proficiency with MS Applications
• Advanced MS Excel Skills
• Proficiency in Pastel Accounting

UNDERSTANDING

• Awareness of Group Policies and Procedures
• Thorough knowledge of Basic Accounting Procedures
• Understand business ethics and values
• In-depth understanding of General Accepted Accounting (GAAP) requirements
• Familiarity with Financial Accounting Statements
• Understand Tax Legislation
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of the Asset Management Environment and related Accounting Treatments
