Job description

Main Tasks

Ensures the effective validation and assessment of disability, severe illness, functional impairment claims according to company policy
Effectively communicating with all relevant stakeholders and clients.
Review and follow up on all types of Institutional claims within agreed authority structures and targets in accordance to client service levels, claims management and process requirements.
Effective Assessment of all claim type which can be justifiable legally

Knowledge and Experience

• Matric
• Medical Degree i.e. BSc OT or Physiotherapy
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years working experience as a Disability Claims Assessor within the Employee Benefits Industry.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years Clinical experience, including involvement in functional capacity evaluations / case management.
• Knowledge of Employee Benefits Industry, Disability products and policies.
• Independent report writing skills.
• Clinical knowledge and skills to read and understand complex claimant information.
