Financial Accountant at Roche

Job description

Roche Diagnostics in Midrand is seeking a Financial Accountant to manage core accounting processes to ensure compliance to GAAP, IFRS, ICFR in meeting Roche Global and Local standards and requirements.

Your role will entail:

VAT and Tax:

• Assessing CIT liability and instruct accounting of current and deferred tax entries.
• Preparing provisional and annual tax returns.
• Calculating deferred tax.
• VAT return submissions and payments.
• Interacting with auditors by providing them with relevant financial information as requested.
• Interacting with SARS as and when required.

Intercompany Reporting:

• Payment of intercompany payables.
• Raising non-trade invoices for affiliates.
• Preparing all intercompany related journals and submitting to FSSC via the Neocase portal.
• Business contact person for FSSC to assist with monthly reconciliation items for reporting.
• Financial Accounting and related administration:
• Preparing relevant monthly provisions and accruals.
• Ensuring that the payroll is integrated accurately from the HR SAP system to P37 SAP System.
• Supporting the month end closing process.

Desired Skills and Experience

• You, as an ideal candidate, will have the following skills, experience and education:

Required Qualification

• A BCom in Accounting Sciences/ Financial Management /Tax.

• Required Experience: 2-5 years financial accounting experience with solid tax experience.
