Job description
The incumbent will be responsible for the definition and maintenance of the standards of project management and process. Support the successful delivery of programs undertaken by AngloGold Ashanti IM through effective facilitation, tracking and reporting. Assist with advising managers and teams on the best use of project management disciplines and approaches and act as the first point of contact for any program management queries within AngloGold Ashanti IM.

Qualifications:
Relevant degree / diploma
PMBOK or Prince 2 Certification or any relevant advanced project management qualification
Experience:
5 years Program Management experience.
5 years Project Management experience
Experience in the management and execution of large Information Technology projects.

Accountabilities:
PMO point of contact:
Manage project-level on-boarding of new resources (PMO processes and governance overview)
Real-time coaching, and mentorship for team members
Manage all PMO queries/requests/escalations.
PMO Methodology and Framework:
Assist and guide alignment of the PMO methodology, to comply with business requirements and PMI best practices and any statutory requirements.
People and Team
Assist and advise Project Sponsors, Innovation Managers, and teams to the best use of project management disciplines and approaches within a fast-paced, high tech environment.
Develop positive relationships with Project Sponsors, Innovation Managers and teams to enable the PMO to provide support including facilitation, tracking and reporting on projects and training.
Support PMO, managing resource allocation, including adjustments based on emerging business or technical opportunities and challenges.
Assist with establishing PMO stakeholder management plan and implementation of the communication framework.
Act as a reference point for PMO queries and information and an advocate for best practices in project management.
Share lessons learned and best practices across programs, building relationships with stakeholders and brokering relationships at all levels
PMO Processes and toolset:
Ongoing maintenance of PMO Processes.
PPM toolset administration and management.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with IM managers, Manager: PIPM and Enterprise Architecture to facilitate the demand management process.
Project Delivery:
PMO Governance:
Conducting proactive stage gate reviews globally to ensure PMO processes and governance compliance.
Change control management:
Supporting function
Provide support function for Portfolio and planning activities such as ideation and demand management.
Process management and updates.
Reporting services related to portfolio’s and programmes.
Training of PMO members
Training of all AGA PMO project managers to align with AGA PMO methodology and best practices.
Training for project managers on PMO processes.
Vendor Management
Account Management activities related to the PMO support vendor.
Contract and deliverable management by support vendor.
SLA and problem management.
Project Budget Management
