Minimum Requirements:

• BSc Mechanical Engineering Degree or BSc Electrical Engineering Degree with extensive mechanical engineering experience.
• Diploma Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
• GCC Electro –mechanical Engineering for Mines and Works will be advantageous.
• Qualifications in asset management (CMRP, CMRT certification) will be advantageous.
• Project Management qualification advantageous.
• Professional Engineering certification (PrEng) is advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years in the mining industry covering mining and mineral processing plants.
• Hands on maintenance experience and project management a must.
• Multi commodity and geographic exposure an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience of being involved in, and preferably leading, business improvement programs and project management.
• Demonstrated ability to take a strategic view over key project deliverables from business and technical perspective.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the execution of planned maintenance systems, including corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
• Drive the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of equipment failure within the company.
• Implement and monitor condition monitoring system of plant and equipment.
• Preliminary analysis, statistical monitoring and reporting of all engineering failures.
• Monthly reporting on maintenance.
• Strive to produce step-change results of equipment reliability, plant availability and enhance asset life.
• Develop a model to determine equipment life cycle costing.
• Effective communication among stakeholders to keep them informed on outcome of
• reliability improvement actions and mitigation of risks.
• Benchmarking with industry practices.
• Identify opportunities of improving engineering maintenance.
• Provide support to projects where equipment reliability is required.
