The Zero-Stunting Initiative seeks to achieve four objectives:

• Support and promote behaviour change of mothers through universal access to antenatal and postnatal classes
• Catalysing Community Healthcare Workers into ‘Champions for Children’
• Change the culture of early child feeding practices (both non-exclusive breastfeeding and poor weaning practices) through disruptive mass media communications
• Drive national commitment to Zero-stunting by 2030 through data-driven advocacy
• To this end, the Zero-Stunting Initiative is recruiting a high-value, high-performance team to lead this work and achieve the ambitious goal of halving the prevalence of stunting in South Africa within a decade.

The Social Franchise Director:

Will lead the design, development and operations of a national social franchise of antenatal and postnatal classes, and will have:

• A postgraduate university degree (preferably an MBA)
• Experience working with small to medium size enterprises
• Experience taking projects to scale
• Excellent financial management skills
• A strong sense of opportunity and enterprise
• The drive to achieve and demonstrate exceptional performance
