    Brand Manager

    Job description

    CATEGORY MANAGEMENT

    Work with Trade Marketing to develop and implement category, ranging and distribution strategy for key customers to drive brand growth. Tracking, analysis and recommendations for priority SKU performance for these customers.

    BRAND SALES TARGETS

    • Setting and achievement of brand sales targets.
    • Consistently track brand performance and take corrective action.
    • Work closely with Sales to ensure achievement of budget.
    • Monthly reporting, quarterly review and projections, annual budgeting.

    INNOVATION

    • Management of NPD process:
    • Researching, develop and planning of NPD's.
    • Brief agencies and on launch plans.
    • Manage timelines and internal processes.
    • Successful launch of NPD's to drive profitable growth:
    • Set and achieve launch targets.
    • Execute per marketing support plan.
    • Ensure listing in all identified retailers.

    ADVERTISING AND CONSUMER COMMUNICATION

    • Work closely with agencies to develop and implement brand communication strategy.
    • Brief agencies and secure principle approval on launch / activity plans.
    • Execute and track campaigns in line with marketing plan.
    • Develop Marketing tools – trade presenters, POS and training manuals, samples for use by the Sales and Operations teams.

    FINANCIALS

    • Maximise long term sales and profitability of the brands.
    • Develop annual and quarterly brand budgets.
    • Control marketing expenses, monthly recons and reforecasting.
    • COGs analysis to ensure benchmarked cost and required GP is achieved.

    COMPETITORS

    Actively monitor competitive activity (marketing strategies, activities and pricing) and take required action.

    STOCK MANAGEMENT & FORECASTING

    • Monthly management of brand forecast in conjunction with Sales and Supply Chain:
    • Forecast accuracy and adherence to inventory level.
    • Portfolio management to drive profitability (SOH of correct range, management of SLOBs).
    • Work with Sales to align NPD forecast, ensure NPD is forecast to meet launch timing.

    CONSUMER RESEARCH

    Work with principle to initiate and manage market research to deliver consumer and customer insights as the basis for long term brand growth. Develop these insights into achievable plans.

    DELIVERABLES

    • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual brand budget
    • Support brand sales through strategic marketing initiatives
    • Achieve brand market share targets
