Introduction
There is an exciting career opportunity for a Credit Risk Analyst within the MMI Group Balance Sheet Management (Group BSM) team. The Group BSM function is a group- wide function within MMI that plays a key role in the Group's capital and risk management functions.

• This role will be responsible for driving and enhancing Group BSM's credit risk analysis capabilities which are a key component of our Credit Risk Management responsibilities.
• The incumbent will report to the Head of Group Credit Risk.
• The role involves interactions with stakeholders across MMI; including the asset and portfolio
• management teams that manage shareholder-backed credit portfolios.
• The individual will join a high-performance team and will be expected to assume full responsibility and accountability to contribute to the strategic and business outcome of Group BSM.

Role Purpose
The purpose of the position is the assessment, management and ongoing monitoring of credit risk to which MMI shareholders portfolios are exposed to.The incumbent will be responsible for the overall credit risk management on a portfolio of exposures. This includes proactively identifying risks, measuring and ongoing monitoring and management of credit risk for all product types on a single obligor, group and portfolio basis.

Responsibilities and work outputs

• Conducting industry and company specific research in order to assess the credit worthiness of
• potential new credit investments.
• Analysis of corporate financial statements (including ratio analysis).
• Annual reviews of existing counterparties to understand the risks and formulate an updated view on the outlook for these companies.
• Ongoing monitoring of any potential risks arising on existing counterparties.
• Discussion and presentation of the above to the credit approval committee as required.
• Preparation of monthly exposure reports for management information and decision making
• purposes.
• Preparation of quarterly memoranda to the BSM Exco.
• Preparation of other memoranda to the BSM Exco relating to policy or other decisions required from the committee or feedback on special projects.
• Identify financial and business risks to the company and escalate accordingly.
• Maintain effective relationships with portfolio managers and other clients to ensure successful
• service delivery and support.
• Develop effective relationships with all stakeholders in the area of responsibility.

Experience and Qualifications

• Post graduate financial qualification.
• 1 to 2 years credit or financial analysis experience would be an advantage.
