POSITION SYNOPSIS:

Performs a span of control role by leading a team in ensuring robust change control and document management process exists and is followed in the Operation, to enable the accurate maintenance of the Operation's blue print , reflecting any approved modification of its plant, equipment and infrastructure.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will have Degree / BTECH / National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years intensive experience in Maintenance and production on Operations of which at least 2 year in a supervisory capacity;
• Government certificate of competence (Mines & Works) is essential;
• Registration with Engineering Council of South Africa as a candidate or professional certificated engineer is advantageous.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Leads, coaches and mentors team members to ensure delivery against performance targets;
• Monitors expectations, understanding and application of G&TS processes within the team to support compliance with local requirements;
• Provides input into plans, budgets, and targets for the sub-function and ensure delivery against them;
• Endorses, leads implementation and monitors effectiveness of G&TS improvement initiatives;
• Monitors the complete set of technical documentation (incl. engineering standards, specifications, procedures, programs and drawings) from which the Operation is designed, constructed, operated, and maintained, exist and is in an as built status;
• Monitors the governance and control of all documentation ensuring it is accurately updated based on any approved modifications of the Operations plant, equipment and non-process infrastructure;
• Co-ordinates the issuance and acceptance of current technical documentation for the Operation;
• Leads the collation, maintenance, issuing and accuracy of Engineering standards, specifications, procedures, programs and drawings for the allocated Operational area in line with associated document management standards;
• Leads the maintenance of physical and electronic documentation in line with defined document management standards.
