Divisional Financial Manager at e4 Strategic

Job description

Purpose:

Responsible for divisional financial management. Undertakes financial analysis, evaluations or business projects and advises on the optimization of resources and profitability of projects. Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies on products and customers. Compile budgets, forecasts and monthly reports for divisions. Compile tax information as required for VAT and Company tax.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Investigate operational and financial results and make recommendations for improvements;
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses;
• Compile business cases as required for investment with divisional management;
• Create forecasts of future business conditions using multiple scenarios;
• Stay abreast of developments in those industries in which the company operates as well as the various accounting standards;
• Create relevant financial models for product and customer profitability;
• Provide input into pricing decisions for new customers and products;
• Compile budgets and forecasts with divisional managers;
• Create tools or systems, including databases and spreadsheets, to improve financial data analysis and reporting;
• Assist the decision-making processes for various business needs;
• Assist external corporate tax supplier with relevant information as required;
• Compile VAT returns as required for company.

Minimum Requirements

• CA(SA) with 1-year experience/CIMA with 4 years’ experience;
• Financial services experience will be advantageous.
