The H Band Specialist: Service Assurance role is based within Network Job Family

The role of the Specialist: Service Assurance is to manage and maintain a multi-vendor, multi-protocol transmission access and core networks. Use sharp and tenacious troubleshooting skills to ensure the network is reliable and robust with high availability.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Handle escalated faults from fault management. Work closely with operations to resolve service concerns and issues.
• Schedule and perform network maintenance, repair, and upgrade tasks as needed while limiting the impact on the production network.
• Participate in standby activities and follow escalation procedures to support the network 24/7.
• Conduct proactive maintenance and participate in network improvement projects with a view towards maintaining high service availability.
• Manage transmission network spares inventory.
• Participate in product and network design LAB tests.

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have:

• Matric (Essential)
• Degree or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (Essential)
• Minimum 3- 5 years relevant experience.
