Our client is a prominent retailer in the LSM 1-3 market,

They have taken the strategic objective of raising the competency profile and level of expertise of  its Demand Planning department and consequently are looking for dynamic and well qualified Demand Planners to fulfill this role/roles.

The position/s are based in the  Westville offices in Durban.

The main duties of the position are :

• Demand Planning and Forecasting
• Sales Analysis and Planning
• Strategic Planning
• Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning processes                    

The key requirements of the position:

• Matric with a Commerce, Logistics or Supply chain degree
• 2 – 3 years supply chain / planning experience experience
• SAP knowledge
• Knowledge of statistical modelling
• Knowledge of demand forecasting tools and planning
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices
• Excellent computer literacy
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Decision making, planning and organizing skills
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work under pressure and be a team player
• Must be self driven and results orientated
