Position Synopsis

To execute production or logistics activities according to the Schedule and operate the physical assets, plant and equipment as defined by HSEC requirements, the Operation's standards and operating.

Requirements

• Serious contenders will have a National Diploma in Mining Engineering with a minimum of 4 years' experience in opencast coal mining, of which at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity;
• Opencast Blasting Certificate is essential;
• In-depth knowledge of the Dragline operations, Truck & Shovel operations or Drill and Blast operation, in coal mining environment;
• Experience in the coal mining industry is essential;
• Valid Driver's License is essential.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensure compliance to the 1SAP Work Management process for work execution and capture related transactional data in the 1SAP system;
• Execute work orders as per schedule;
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of events and hazards and participate in workplace investigations or observations as required;
• Provide input to investigations and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability;
• Initiate updates to work instructions so that they are accurate, relevant to equipment as per the 1SAP process, and drive safe execution;
• Return unused or reparable materials, ensuring they are processed accurately;
• Validate quality of work performed by third parties and the related service entry sheets;
• Review and request updates to Work Management and other Master Data as required.
