Deal Pricing Analyst

The role

Provide support to the organisation in commercial aspects relating to Predictive Operating Cost (POC) models, contractual scope of works and the composition of bundled deals to ensure sustainable and profitable business operations.

Key performance areas

• As process owner of the Predictive Operating Cost models (POC) be responsible for the development, continuous updating and improvement of the POC model composition and costing
• Translate operational operating costs into POC models
• Compile contractual scope of works and costing models (labour and variable) associated with a particular service offering, including any scope modifications and costing increases associated with contract escalations, reviews and adjustments
• Ensure that all contracts are subject to due diligence to achieve acceptable levels of financial (business) risk to Sandvik Mining
• Assist SA with the composition of bundled deals in response to RFI/RFQ etc. which are in accordance with the Limits of Authority (LOA) and Commercial Approval System User Guide requirements
• In conjunction with the SA and Global Pricing Manager ensure that bundled deals improve SA EBIT and ROCE whilst growing total business volume.

Your profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• 2 year Diploma (Technical) or appropriate tertiary qualification
• 5 years' experience in engineering support of manufacturing systems
• Process owner of POC models
• Effective communications skills (both written and verbal)
• Computer literate - proven competence in Microsoft Office applications as well as mid-range applications such as reliability monitoring systems, etc. MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel Advanced and/or have an advanced understanding and/or practical skill set of advanced excel usage on;
• Financial aspects
• Budget Compilation
• Financial Reporting
• Business case interpretation
• Valid Driver's License
• Must be prepared to work long hours when necessary, must be prepared to drive/fly and overnight at operational areas when necessary, must be deemed medically fit to enter Mine Sites as per MHS Act, must pass criminal checks and all necessary pre-employment criteria
