Develops Plans And Co-ordinates The Following Functions

• Local, National and Export despatch
• Despatch plan created, current and matched to production activities
• Despatch operations managed in accordance with plan
• Develop despatch procedure and systems to optimise storage at Durban DC
• Up to date Delivery due list , Isa store picking plan and despatch administration
• Fleet utilisation/optimisation
• Co-ordinate transport requirements between on site transport representatives
• Equitable split in terms of transporters fleet size
• Develop and maintained sound relationships with CSC/Transporters and customers(internal and external)
• Strong ties with plant production
• Trained, motivated, productive and optimum team performance
• Strategic view of Durban Distribution Centre despatch operations and plan and optimise production and despatch activities
• Co-ordinates despatch with plant production and planning function within the DC
• Introduce despatch procedures, systems and transport planning
• Delivery fleet scheduled and optimised
• Systems enhancements
• Interface Management and staff supervision
• HSEQ Compliance
• Work shifts

Desired Skills and Experience
Knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of despatch function and Isastore Warehouse Management system
• Good knowledge of relevant legislation, transport operations and economics
• Good knowledge of applicable handling methods of products and warehouse principles
• Good business and SAP knowledge
• Working knowledge of Supply Chain and quality control
• Good knowledge of inventory control
• Strong planning bias
• Advanced system knowledge
