    Finance / Accounting Officer

    Job Description
    Job Responsibilities:

    • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
    • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
    • Documents financial transactions by entering account information
    • Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
    • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options
    • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
    • Assist in planning assignments to ensure their completion to the required standard and within budget
    • Producing a complete accountancy working paper file with draft accounts for a job that involves incomplete record work
    • Posting sales, purchases, bank and journal entries on the firm's approved accounts package and produce required reports
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

    Job Requirements:

    • degree or certification in accounting, finance or related discipline
    • Good computer skills
    • Minimum of two (1) year’ experience working in a finance or accounting function
    • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
    • Ability to work as part of a team, yet also work using own initiative when required
    • General practice experience
    • Good analytical, organisational and administrative skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Goal-oriented and able to work under pressure
