    Senior Legal Advisor

    Job description

    Principal Accountabilities:

    • Specific duties and responsibilities, knowledge, experience and skill sets must include but may not be limited to:
    • The purpose of this role will be provide legal advice and support to the Company
    • Provide accurate legal advice to internal stakeholders via Commercial Manager
    • Formulate, provide, advise and review contractual agreements between the company and
    • third parties to ensure that the interests of the company are protected and best commercial position maintained
    • Review Tender documents from a legal perspective
    • Assist the Business with day to day legal matters on Project and Tender level
    • Perform the legal and contractual risk management, mitigation and corrective action
    • This includes drafting and reviewing of agreements | contracts and disputes, providing high-
    • quality, technically sound advice, which includes:
      • NDA’s
      • JV’s
      • Credit Applications
      • Suppliers Agreements and Back to back subcontracts
      • EPC Contracts (bespoke and based on the standard form contracts in the Construction Industry)

    Key requirements include:

    • LLB Degree with completed articles and admitted Attorney
    • Construction background would be an advantage
    • 5-8 Years working experience

    Required skills include:

    • Experience in drafting, reviewing and editing of agreements and contracts
    • Solid experience in providing expert legal advice to businesses
    • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and are responsible, accountable and dedicated
    • Must be self-motivated and able to work effectively with little or no direct supervision and possess multi-tasking skills
    • Strong Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills
    • Contract suites of NEC3, FIDIC, GCC and WORLD BANK
    • The successful candidate should be high performance focused with drive, energy and flexibility
    • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment
    • Ability to understand construction logic and sequencing of complex projects
    • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage expectations accordingly
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills plus attention to detail required
    • Must be able to perform work in a fast paced work environment
    • Good people and communication skills and an ability to interact with internal and external parties
    • Strong planning, organising and administration skills
    • Business travel required
