Position Summary

As F&C Analyst you will support the Finance Manager and Commercial teams in planning and implementing commercial strategies and initiatives, marketing/trade investment, and performance management in order to achieve annual and long-range business objectives. The role will be responsible for establishing and leading the implementation of relevant best practices, tools, systems in planning, performance tracking, investment evaluation, and in the on-going LEAN/CIP efforts.

Accountabilities

•  Assist Finance & Controllership Manager in the Financial Planning process including Strategic Planning, Annual Budget, and quarter forecasts. Responsible for quality, accuracy, and timely submission of monthly forecasts and deep dives with an independent assessment of risks and opportunities
•  Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations including Trade spend accruals, and intercompany reconciliations
•  Monthly inventory analysis and reconciliation including identifying the Slow moving inventory and reporting them to management for action.
•  Support the Marketing team in the financial evaluation of promotional guidelines, and provide pre and post-promotional insights, Trade spend management and reporting
•  Perform profitability opportunities, risks evaluation analysis for new products, marketing campaigns, promotional activities, selling prices , channels performance, and product mix to support improving profit margins and generally upkeep business continuity and growth
•  Perform monthly forecast analysis for customers P&L’s, Trade Spend expenses and reconciliation, inventory, A&P spending and accruals, identify and explain key issues to the business in the forecast and provide relevant information to all stakeholders with relevant accurate submissions into Energizer Financial systems as per the reporting practices
•  Responsible for Business intelligence system and financial awareness training to the commercial organization in addition to on-going review and improvement of Finance owned and facilitated tools, systems, processes to ensure optimal productivity and effectiveness as business needs evolve

Required Skills and Experience

•  Finance / Accounting Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
•  Finance/ Business Administration /Management ACCA/ CFA/ CMA/CIMA
•  Good knowledge of Hyperion, ERP systems, and Business Intelligence systems
•  Excellent written & oral English, communication, presentation skills
•  5+ years’ experience in role as a Finance Analyst
•  Of which 3+ years experience working in an MNC/ FMCG setting.
