Scope Based in South Africa, Local Role, No direct reports, The Materials & Planning Analyst is responsible for managing one or several product lines at our Africa Distribution Centers and Warehouses, to support the company goals, regulatory and customer requirements. The incumbent is responsible for identifying and maintaining the appropriate planning parameters in our ERP systems, handling exceptions such as phase in/out items, stock low situations, as well as minimizing the scrap values and excess inventory, with close collaboration with the different manufacturing sites.

• Plan one or several product lines, with special attention to stock out/ stock low situations, as well as optimizing the inventory levels
• Accountable to review and maintain the planning parameters in the ERP systems
• Provide accurate and timely information on stock availability to our internal customers (CSR’s, Service, Sales etc.)
• Participate in regular meetings with Marketing and Manufacturing sites concerning his/her product lines
• Maximize the inventory turns
• Identify and initiate opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and inventory cost reduction
• Recommends and Participates in process improvement activities
• Interact with colleagues and departments to build teamwork and share best practices
• Update and maintain work instructions concerning areas of responsibility
• Technical Elements Business degree 5+ years of relevant experience in a supply chain environment with a focus on Material Planning
• Good Analytical skills
• Very good communication skills in English, written and verbal - Ability to interact at different levels within organization globally.
• Customer oriented
• Computer systems literate (MS Office - Excel / Outlook)
• Able to work independently but also a team player
• Strong organizational skills
• Additional language(s) will be an asset; Oracle R11i / R12 experience
• Job Elements English language skills required; Warehouse Environment - Warehouse office- Can be performed by disabled associate;
• Travel Requirements - Can be expected from associate to travel from time/time training purposes (2 times per year)
• Culture Local based position with a team of 12 associates, warehouse environment part of South Africa Commercial Operations, matrix reporting structure, focus on KPI Management / Daily Management / DBS and Quality and Requlatory. Global and Regional Interaction with other Beckman Associates through meetings and webex phone calls.
