Main Purpose

The Mobile Equipment Operator will safely operate various type of equipment related to movement and transporting of dry-bulk and finished products as dictated by customer needs and requirements. They will be required to load/unload barges, vessels, trucks, containers, stockpiles and other areas as dictated. The Operator will also perform routine inspections on assigned equipment and report findings in accordance with policy and procedure.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate various pieces of mobile equipment and some heavy equipment.
• Attend daily safety meetings and comply with regulatory and procedural compliance.
• Assist the Crane Operators with spotting barge and ship holds.
• Maintain a clean deck area and safe work environment.
• Report all accidents and "near-misses" to the Crew Leader and identify and correct hazards.
• Provide and maintain a positive and professional atmosphere for all employees and visitors.

Knowledge Skills And Abilities

• Have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Fluent in the English language.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail
