Job Summary Statement

Aveng Manufacturing, a leading infrastructure development group, provides a diverse range of services, products

and solutions in engineering, construction, mining, steel and manufacturing through its five business units

namely Infraset, Duraset, DFC, Rail, and ACS.

The incumbent will be responsible to maintain and service Control Systems according to ACS and client requirements and specifications. Manage and co-ordinate all technical requirements linked to site activities to ensure that service solutions are evident at all times.

Minimum Requirements ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12
• N4 / N5 Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation or equivalent
• Trade Test (Instrumentation) - advantageous

Experience

• 1 - 3 years Control Systems Experience
• DeltaV 7018 Course (DeltaV Hardware & Troubleshooting) advantageous
• DeltaV 7009 Course (DeltaV Operate Implementation) advantageous
• DeltaV 7020 Course (AMS Configuring & Using) advantageous
• DeltaV 7032 Course (DeltaV Foundation Fieldbus) advantageous
• Intrinsic Safety Training – advantageous
• Exposure to Plant safety systems – advantageous

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage Call outs and Breakdowns with full accountability in this regard
• Provide Technical and Product Service support to customers
• Accurately analyse and determine cause of failures
• Prepare and present site visit reports and monthly feedback reports to client with regards to system integrity
• Identify opportunities, for the business, to provide enhanced service or sales offerings to the customer
• Ensure that all company and customer safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
• Weekly reporting to management on all time spent relating to utilisation on a customer site to ensure optimal profitability for the business

• Knowledge of installed based services
• Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
• Technical service knowledge to customers
• Work in Sub-Saharan Markets
• MS Office proficient – Excel and Word, specifically
• Driver’s License – Code EB (Own Vehicle Essential)
