    Chief Commercial Officer

    Job description

    NEW:

    The CCO is primarily concerned with ensuring the integrated commercial success of the company. Role requires a combination or technical knowledge of the business model and organisation with strong marketing and business development skills. He/ She must lead, motivate and direct the Sales and Account Management Teams to translate the company's strategy into results. This will require experience in a senior commercial capacity and the ability to drive team members to achieve success against their objectives. Drive business development and execution of commercialization strategy for i-Pay. Build a commercialization infrastructure and organization to drive market adoption of the company’s product(s) and be responsible for revenue growth within the organization. Take global perspective market opportunities, lead in assessment and prioritization of geographic as well as EFT market segments. Oversee the entire sales team and monitor productivity to ensure the company meets its long-term objectives. Position reports to the CEO and COO.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver strategic leadership for defining the commercial path to growth and profitability of the company and the establishment of an effective growth process and infrastructure.
    • Develop collaborative working relationships within the organization in pursuit of the of the company’s overall business goals.
    • Develop long-term plans and budgets for the department and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance of the sales team.
    • Ensure systems and procedures are in place to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
    • Maintain a climate that attracts, retains and motivates top quality personnel.
    • Cultivate a culture of focused hard work and openness.
    • Administer incentive plans which entice individuals as well as teams to perform successfully against the objectives while respecting the budget.
    • Interact with the sales operations teams to ensure a smooth flow through process in the CRM system from the outset to the closing stage.
    • Lead development of the company’s marketing strategy with an emphasis on achieving market penetration and sales growth with a particular emphasis on cost-effective customer acquisition and market demand generation.
    • Develop and implement the company’s sales strategy across key market segments to ensure that the company identifies and optimizes a clear path to aggressive growth.
    • Assess, build and manage an array of necessary channels capable of delivering on the company’s growth objectives. Including, for example, inside sales, direct sales and enterprise sales.
    • Develop a strategy and provide leadership for enterprise-wide business development opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain initiatives in order to achieve up to date competitive analysis portfolio.
    • Handle special assignments, do in-depth analysis, follow up on various files and work closely in concert with all members of the Senior Management Team.
    • Monthly meeting with Finance team to overlook budgets.
    • Day-to-day leadership of the team consisting of Account Managers, Business Development Manager and Sales Executives.
    • Monthly reports to ‘C’ level staff.
    • Renegotiate existing partner contracts with profitable terms and clearly defined operational responsibilities

    Requirements

    Education and Level of Experience:

    • A proven track record of 10 – 15 years of experience in an overall commercial/ business function having held executive roles in recognized innovative organizations
