Job description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To maintain an Asset Care / maintenance planning system and to provide a maintenance planning service to all relevant stakeholders as to ensure that plant availability and efficiency is maximized, breakdowns are minimized and manufacturing costs are optimised.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• To manage and maintain all maintenance business processes and to ensure compliance.
• To plan and monitor maintenance shuts / plant modification projects
• To manage and maintain the data of the maintenance system
• To actively participate in MDT activities
• To analyse maintenance data, compile / extract and issue reports for optimization of
• equipment availability and costs
• Assist in facilitation of problem solving sessions and administer relevant gap lists.
• Assist in the development/updating of maintenance schedules utilising MSG3 RCM
• principals.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Relevant NQF 4 Qualification
• Recognised trade certificate with 5 years’ experience in a heavy industrial environment
• Computer Literacy (MS Office, Projects)
• SAP 4.6 PM and PS Module
• 3 – 5 years relevant maintenance planning experience
• Pulp and Paper Industry experience will be advantageous
