Software/Application Development Team Lead - South Africa at Clariba

Job description

We have a current opening for a Development Team Lead in our Pretoria, South Africa office. The ideal candidate is someone who has senior software, mobile application and web development experience within a consultany environment and experience actively leading teams.

Responsibilities of this role include:

• Hands-on implementation of frameworks and best practices for dashboards, apps and other developments;
• Analysing capabilities/opportunities for new applications with SAP Design Studio, SAP Software Development Kit, iOS and other mobile solutions;
• Demonstrating SAP applications and solutions with Sales Team to potential customers;
• Training/mentoring junior developers in the areas of technical skills and best practices.

Required Technical Skills & Experience:

• Web development experience
• Mobile Application development experience
• Advanced level of HTML5, CSS, Java/JavaScript skills
• Expert level SQL programming skills

Desired Technical Skills & Experience:

• SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio experience
• SAP Mobile Software Development Kit (SDK) experience
• iOS development experience

Required Competencies:

• Commitment to developing frameworks and best practices for mobile, web, iOS and other application development processes
• Experience supervising a team of Developers and their workloads, while proactively reporting status and progress to the Senior Manager
• Strong training, mentoring and knowledge sharing capabilities - ability to teach and build technical skills within a team of junior developers
• Ability to commit to customer milestones, deadlines and service levels in order to deliver high quality developments on time
• Excellent communicator and very transparent – providing timely updates to customers and management
• Ability to manage customer expectations in a multicultural environment
• Fluent English both written and spoken
• Autonomous thinking and proactive approach to investigating and discovering solutions

Work Environment Requirements:

• Currently based in Johannesburg or Pretoria and legally entitled to work in South Africa (citizenship or residency visa)
• Avaliability to travel occassionally within Middle East and Africa region
• Comfortble working in multicultural environment
• Ability to multi-task with a variety of projects

Education:

University Level Degree (preferred Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Software Development, Computer Science, etc.)
