    Business Development Manager (Unilever) - Sub Saharan Africa - Your future position?

    As a member of the Fragrance Division you will be responsible for managing and growing Givaudan business for Unilever Home & Personal Care cross categories in Sub Saharan Africa region in line with the overall Global and Regional Account strategy. You will be based in Johannesburg (Linbro Park), South Africa. In this expecting role you will

    Sales You will manage the Unilever Cross Categories business for the SSA region. You will deliver rapid profitable sales growth in the different product categories. You will plan and deliver account activities. You will manage the projects/briefs pipeline and coordination of projects. You will manage key client interface with different Unilever customer teams. You will ensure that Givaudan has opportunity to aprticipate in Unilever fragrance briefs and roll outs in the sub region. You will follow up on client submissions, transition client projects/new wins from scale up to production. You will manage credit, pricing, rebate management issues for account.

    Customer Interactions You will promptly resolve client complaints.

    Presentations You will conduct presentations to articulate Givaudan's value proposition and promote portfolio for each category, new concepts, technology or products.

    Reports You will monitor competitor and market activity.

    • Your professional profile includes
    • Ability and interest to smell
    • 5-7 years successful sales, marketing or client relationship experience in fragrance or related FMCG industry; ideally BusinessTo Business
    • Able to develop account plans incorporating client strategy, business initiatives, commercial needs and internal processes
    • Possess a good understanding on the FMCG market dynamics, categories and brands
    • Knowledge of the markets corresponding to the categories
    • Possesses in-depth knowledge of client fragrance selection process, brand strategies, market positioning and fragrance potential
    • Well developed business / financial accumen
    • Strong interpersonal skills, client service and negotiation skills
    • Strong project management and organisational skills
    • Able to develop and deliver compelling sales presentations. Good PowerPoint skills required. Good digital skills and knowledge.
    • Well developed verbal & written communication skills
    • Conceptual & Creative Thinking
    • Team Working including collaboration with remote teams
    • Ability to multi-task in fast paced and changing environment
    • Ability to Learn fast, Flexibility & Adaptability
    • MBA and/or business school degree
