Sales & Application Engineer at Emerson

Job description

Based in Johannesburg and covering the South and East Africa region, this is a great role combining sales and technical skills for a Valve specialist. Provide applications engineering, technical, pricing and sales support to all S&E Africa Region Customers and LBPs as the Senior Specialist for Fisher products.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Process RFQs, prepare and manage Fisher quotations on time and in line with set KPIs to all S&E Africa Region LBPs and Customers
• Provide Applications Engineering, Technical, Pricing and Sales Support to all S&E Africa Region Customers and LBPs as senior specialist
• Work with consultants, customers and end-users to get Fisher products and solutions pre-specified / pre-selected
• Work with customers and end-users to update and modify their engineering standards and specifications to gain preference for Fisher
• Be the Fisher Technical and solution support specialist for S&E Africa Region
• Support in trouble shooting and finding solutions to customers problems
• Support and work with Sales Team to meet the Sale budget for S&E Africa Region
• Provide support to LBPs / End users for Product modifications & upgrades
• Prepare success stories and QBRs for industry wise applications
• Co-ordinate with Project Management / Order Entry / Customer Order Fulfilment (COF) team to provide clean orders to factories and attend kick off meetings if required
• Training new LBP / Rep engineers on Control Valve Engineering including sizing, selection and pricing
• Recognize and accept HSE Roles & Responsibilities as defined in Emerson's Company Policy and Procedures
• You will have a solid technical background in the valve industry and have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, combined with strong sales and commercial expertise.
